you should at least switch 6 and 7. I mean, a W over a FBS team (in a storm) is always worth more than a L to a FBS team.

Hmm, in a monsoon where we lost 4 defensive players (3 starters plus 1st nickel back), and a 5th for targeting. And put our third string in for the 4th Q, when ULM scored 2 meaningless TDs, in the last 6 minutes.

I just don't see how anybody can make any judgments from that game, good or bad.

Hang with UCLA and I'll reconsider. Beat UCLA and you move up several notches.

No debate about ECU, though, right?

You can't make complete judgments after 1 week of data. It should be concerning that ULM put up 425 yards and their QB was much better. It is early so who really knows who is good. One team that hasn't look good is USF considering that top 25 ranking. I'm not even being a hater since I want them to win in OOC games. We will learn more about Memphis, UCF, Tulsa, and a few others this week.

The game plan literally was to hand the ball off to our running backs that game because of the conditions. We barely drew up any passing plays.

Also to the UCF fan that keeps bring up Riley's bad game. We didn't even really try to go deep like we usually do and some of our receiver had the ball slip or drop on them in that weather. Half Riley's completions were just simple receiver screens that didn't amount to much yardage. We were playing catch up either.

Somehow the ULM didn't have issues though? Ferguson had 25 passing attempts so it isn't like it was just handed the ball off all game. Like I said....we will know more after this weekend.

LOL. There is some truth to that.

I remember back when the divisions were first set, a number of people here complained that all the power was concentrated in the East division.

There was A LOT of talk about ECU being a yearly contender, which makes a lot of sense considering their initial football-only membership. Also, Cincinnati was consistently ranked and competed for a title in most of their Big East years. I think those 2 really hyped up the AAC East. You knew what you were getting with UCONN and USF. Temple has actually over-performed for what most people thought and UCF has pretty much been all over the place.

Geez dude. ULM wasn't exactly gunslinging it around the field. It was simple screens that broke loose for big yardage after the catch( busted assignments). Riley isn't totally to blame for his completion percentage either. Our receivers had a couple of catchable balls they didn't make. 5 if memory serves right.

Yeah. I don't know why he is intent on trying to convince us something is wrong with Riley. The guy proved what he is capable of last year. Offense is the last thing we should be sweating about.

This time next week we will know a lot more about SMU. Not gonna lie, it is our Superbowl. Our hated rival ranked #20 in our only game against a P5. I wish we had QB settled but we don't. Hicks will start but Gillins should be. We will need Gillins mobility against the TCU pressure.

Early in the season, but SMU should be top 4; Temple in the bottom 4 (as most folks have) is right. Hope we can move up.

You have the offense to win. Defense seems to be the question mark. Hope you guys can pull it off.
