How many of those on the road?
Lots of G5 triumph over P5 this week.
Luckily for P5, looks like Irma is going to knock out two rare G5 home games vs P5. Illinois and Georgia Tech praying their games at USF and UCF get cancelled.

Does that mean the current record is of the P5 vs. G5 is 38-6? If so, that's rough for the G5.

I realize that 5 G5 wins over P5 schools hadn't happened yet when you made the post, but Colorado St had smashed a week before you made the post. Did you unintentionally "forget" that game to make a point?

No, I didn't. I was reporting what happened "this week", not year to date. And the "point" would have been the same if Week 0 had been included.
After Week 2, the overall record stands at 39-7. At the same point in the season last year, the P5 was 34-10 vs G5 schools, and the year before that it was 43-10.

RE: [split] P5 vs. G5 records
Well ken d, gloat all you want, the winning % for playoff schools vs non playoff schools will probably stay about the same until until recruiting gets better for non playoff schools, right now the recruiting cards are stacked in your playoff schools favor, but I ask for how long ?
I see many nonplayoff schools investing in football stadiums and overall athletes spurred on in part by the increasing popularity of college football and by waking up to the fact that they are left out of national champions opportunities , see it's a reaction to the FBS split !, the playoff powers to be and fans just like you seem to think that half of FBS non traditional football powers will just go away quietly
I think it's having the opposite affect really and in a few years you will too realize it too, but it will be to late to stop it from happening
Of course all this is just my opinion
So gloat while you still can, yes you are gloating with this thread
Your a gloater

Sounds like somebody has got his feelings hurt. Seems to me that if I had wanted to gloat, I would have posted this on the main forum, instead of the P5 sub-forum, as a comment on the thread about P5 vs P5 records. I didn't start that thread (or this one).

RE: [split] P5 vs. G5 records
Can we considered P8 to include AAC, MWC and MVFC? Those 3 conferences are so close to each other with wins over the P5 and FBS schools for number of years. I just realized how bad Missouri is after their lost this week when Missouri State hung around against them in week 1.
Now, can we find a way to get the best teams from the MAC, C-USA, Sun Belt, Independent, Big Sky, OVC, CAA and Southland into AAC, MVFC and MWC? We could have a real separation from the pack of the D1 football landscape.

The 5 playoff conferences should just go off together and find a " safe place "

RE: [split] P5 vs. G5 records
Here's where we're at. Let me know if I'm missing any, but I think this is it.
Also, FWIW, I am considering Liberty a G5 team.
Colorado St (Mount West) over Oregon St (PAC 12) 57-28
Liberty (Independent) over Baylor (Big 12) 48-45
Texas-San Antonio (CUSA) over Baylor (Big 12) 17-10
Central Michigan (MAC) over Kansas (Big 12) 45-27
Eastern Michigan (MAC) over Rutgers (Big 10) 16-13
Middle Tennesse St (CUSA) over Syracuse (ACC) 30-23
Houston (AAC) over Arizona (PAC 12) 19-16
San Diego St (Mount West) over Arizona St (PAC 12) 30-20
San Diego St (Mount West) over #19 Stanford (PAC 12) 20-17
#22 South Florida (American) over Illinois (Big 10) 47-23
Memphis (American) over UCLA (PAC 12) 48-45
Northern Illinois (MAC) over Nebraska (Big 10) 21-17
Ohio (MAC) over Kansas (Big 12) 42-30
