Its seems to me usf just canceled the game and then said audios to all the players without trying to help.

And how do you know what USF is doing for ALL their athletes?

I don't but if they where doing something i would think they would be public about it like uh was.

Why? To get public support? For publicity?

Or maybe so the people who are worried about the team can know they will be moved to a safe location. For a usf you don't seem real concerned.

LOL I trust USF to take care of its players, I have no control over that but right now I'm dealing with taking care of my immediate family including my elderly parents that I DO have control over and that's what I'm focus about. I'm sure those in the team and their families know what the school is going for them

You are either a troll or the stupidest person on the internet today. I hope it is the first option because you're bringing shame to the school that I love.

1- All football teams charter flights. You cannot show up at an airport and fly commercial with an entire traveling squad, coaches, staff, and media much less their families.

2- Airports in Florida are closing down RIGHT NOW. The last flight out of Miami was over an hour ago. Thousands of commercial passengers are stranded.

3- Airlines, including those who charter, are getting their planes out of Florida in advance of the storm so there are no last minute jets to rent.

4- Lastly, where are you seeing that Florida State is chartering their team and their families out of Tallahassee? A quick google search shows that the Florida Marlins baseball team is allowing families to travel on their road trip but nothing about UF or FSU. FSU would be really odd because; well, look at a map.

You missed the point entirely and don't warrant a response...

First link in my google searched proved my point. Apparently you need to do more than a quick google search. It even specifically mentions helping find flights. Which by the way can include charter but was not elaborated on by fsu....

Really how so? So your telling me planning ahead and getting the players out a week ago when they knew the hurricane was coming would not have been a good idea?

If anything they should have flown them to uconn earlier seeing as how everyone and their mother has known for over a week that Florida was probably going to get hit. Even if they still cancelled the game its way better to be in uconn with family in a hotel then in a disaster zone.

Now you can argue that it would cost too much money to do fly the players and their family out, and thats a good point. But i find it hard to believe that people wouldn't be willing to donate to help pay some of those expenses.

How is canceling the game at pretty much the last moment when its basically too late for any player to get out now better than doing it a week ago? Now just like cornell coog said all flights are cancelled and good luck driving on the roads where you could get trapped in your car for hours if not days.

There is no way you can convince me that waiting till there is only 2 days before a hurricane makes landfall to do something is better than executing a plan a week ahead.

So please tell me how my points have been debunked lol! If anything cornell coog proved my point.

Not to mention he was blatantly wrong on his 5th point.

Tampa and St Pete are going to be in bad shape from storm surge plus Its been a long time since a major hurricane has been around the area.

Yes, my parents have lived in Temple Terrace for 35 years, and have never experienced any serious hurricane activity. Hurricanes happen all around Florida, they hit Ft Lauderdale/Miami, the Keys, sometimes they plow across to Fort Meyers, they slam in to the panhandle, but Tampa Bay is tucked away in a location where they just never directly hit.

But this looks like a direct hit, and I have been in contact with them continuously the past 24 hours.
