She could have a huge impact on the UNC game on the 16th. She won't be nearly as strong by then, but will bring a crap ton of rain. Lets hope, for our sake, she stays to the western tracks. Not that I'd wish her on anyone!

Not sure the impact. Forecast is to hit Miami next Monday.... Tues/Wed/Th/Fr SAT.
It's better for us if it hits land and keeps moving inland. If it stalls and slowly meanders up the east coast that would be bad.

Irma could but I honstly think the timing could be good for the game. It should be moving into GA first thing monday morning, that gives it 5 days to get through NC and VA which I think it will.

How's the run O and D looking for both teams?

The track we have at our weather group at work has 'best chance path' of crossing over Miami and as she nears Canaveral moving back to sea. IF everyone is really lucky Jose' could pull her further east after that. Though I doubt that. I think Jose stays a 'fish storm' and never makes landfall. Too soon to tell.

That track sounds ideal compared to all the updates I'm reading. Hope your group is right.

We weren't supposed to get rain Saturday evening. I will never listen to you guys again.

I think the one thing that we know for sure is no forecasts seems to be the same day after day.

I actually planned on going to the airshow that weekend.
I will be so drunk the following weekend during the VT game. We struggled against NC State a bottom tier ACC school. I already how that's going to end. High points for VT, injured players and a shorten 4th quarter.
I'm not being mean, I'm being realistic. After what I saw at the Albany home game, we won't stand a chance against VT. We are playing that game just for the money.
I'm not sure why games like this are being scheduled under Wilder. BW was good for resurrecting the program and getting us the FBS. His job is done. We see year after year that he can't compete with the big boys. Look at Liberty! Look at JMU! Yeah! If we played Liberty this weekend, they would cream us! We can't compete at this level. We need a coaching staff that won't go into the 2018 season using the same plays they used against Villanova in 2011.
Everyone is happy because we won 10 games in 2016. We did win 10 games, but look at the competition. Look at who we won against and look at the loses. You know damn well we would not have beat Marshall if they were MARSHALL the team we saw in 2014, we beat USM with the turnovers and if there was another quarter they would have won. Am I the only one that saw them catching up in the last quarter?
See my point? We cannot beat real teams.
I guess getting to the least watched bowl game is all that matters. How about getting to a bowl game college fans will actually watch or a game where people across the nation will know who Old Dominion is?
The bare minimum is all everyone wants. As long as everyone gets a C, at least that passing is the mentality I feel everyone has!

Weird spot for a rant on this thread. I personally disagree with pretty much everything you said. I do think we need to do better against better teams but as for last years opponents they were on the schedule, end of story. You can't control if they are going to have an up or down year
