student demand is high for this game from what I've been told - they need to go ahead and redistribute any unsold tickets to the students tomorrow IMO. Need the Stands packed for this one ( at least first half!)

I don't follow ticketing very closely, I've never lived in the EST time zone as an alum....

BUT - if they DON'T reallocate these tickets to students, do they manage a program where people can buy (at regular or discounted rate) unsold tickets and donate them to students? I only buy single game tickets 1-2x a year but I'd throw $25-$50/game to have 2 rowdy students show up in my place!

Amen to that. Students (parents) are funding this athletic program. Get them in the stadium and they are more likely to come back....not just for this year, but potentially for the next 50 years. The home opener is normally well attended by the students. It has been that next game which has seen a 50% drop in student attendance. I'm hoping that won't be the case this year. Perhaps some creative marketing like we saw to get the students out versus Soft Houston last December will help. (i.e., bribe 'em) 03-thumbsup

Student tickets are already sold out for the ETSU game.
Tickets are not sold out for students as of today. I have had multiple friends reserve tickets throughout the day. Usually they don't sell out ever (except for gameday).

Apparently it is Greek Rush week/weekend and the ticketing office is expecting a lesser student turnout because of it.

That's when we'll truly know when we've become a "football" school. When no one would even think to schedule something in conflict with the game.

My daughter tells me it's only sororities, she's PO'd because she's tied up from 9:30 am until about 9 pm that night. She hasn't missed a game in years.

So you're telling me there won't be any sorority girls tailgating or at the game? I guess I'll see you guys next weekend then.

It's Fraternities also. Looking at the calendar for us and nothing on the schedule for Saturday though.

Well then the ticket website isn't allowing GA sales in those sections. It's listed as not available.

RE: Bourne Dialogue - Season Tickets Trending Up
It's disappointing that student tickets aren't sold out yet. I suppose the greek rush events are interfering with that. They're usually sold out by 2 days before for the home opener, let alone when we're playing so well.

I do see that single game tickets only have a handful remaining. I would guess less than 500, maybe even 250-ish.

That sounds about right to me, maybe as much as 23K. I know it's the first home game but if it were to also be the first game and ECU had been second or third, then it would be closer to max capacity.

Greek rush events were scheduled to overlap our first home football game? I propose disbanding the entire greek system if they can't get their priorities straight.

I would have thought 23k minimum for any home opening game w/ decent weather. Add in coming off a National Championship AND being the first game after our statement win against ECU, and I'd have thought a sellout was a no brainer. Disappointing.

Someone needs to talk to the powers to be in Greek life - schedule their rush events for a non-football weekend (or at least the NSU game)..

My daughter said everyone on her hall except for 3 are rushing....she is one of the 3. She's psyched because she is running out on the field before the game Saturday...she roots.
