Ah yes, deflect, SOP for a lib. It's the parents fault.
You really think a 5 year old has the capacity to listen to an adult for 8 hours 5 days a week and not be influenced by them? Hell most adults can't even do that.
I guess by your theory you can tell a kid Nazism is a bad thing, then give them Mein Kampf to read and be 100% worry free they won't get any influence from the book because you raised them right?
To be sure you aren't that naive.
Who said anything about no influence. Why is it always black and white with you guys.
Parents will always have more influence over a child than their teacher. That doesn't mean that a teacher will sometimes temporarily influence the thinking of a student.
That is the teacher's job. A teacher is suppose to present new information to children. Things that they haven't been exposed to before. Some of the best learning comes when everything you thought was right is suddenly changes.
While I personally do not believe a child this age should be exposed to this sort of subject, I certainly wouldn't flip out and worry if my kid was going to question their gender from a little old book.

I don't think that at all. I have no problem with prayer in schools. In fact, I would fully support it.

I think the issue most have is the age of the kids. If this was a middle school class, it would be more understandable. If transgenderism is going to be taught to 5 year olds, why stop there? Is there any topic off limits for a Kindergarten class?

If it was my kid in that school I'd be fit to be tied. I'd be shaking and wanting to give them a piece of my mind. But, before that I'd ask them if I could say a prayer for them. I know what their response would be. They'd be outraged. It's funny that they probably don't want/like prayer in school or anywhere else but they sure don't mind mental sickness for 5 year olds.
Stupid people.

My guess is there are going to be some lawsuits in about 20 years from kids who decided at a very young age to change.

Same here. Would be livid that my 5 year old was exposed to and a participant via reading books, etc. for some other kid "transitioning" in class.
Can't believe the stupidity of the adults that thought this was okay..

Some scumbag teacher at the end of the vid defended the entire thing and suggested the angry parents were a step away from book burning fascism.
What a lunatic with a bent mind.

I don't blame the parents for being upset. But at some point, the fact remains: the kids who are being taught that filth are enrolled in a public school. In California.

If you're raising your children properly you've taught them to respect authority.
A teacher in a classroom commands authority. That authority coupled with the respect the child has been taught to give provides a very powerful and influential platform.
Marx knew this. It is one of the strategies used:
Quote:The proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest, by degree, all capital from the bourgeoisie, to centralise all instruments of production in the hands of the State, i.e., of the proletariat organised as the ruling class; and to increase the total productive forces as rapidly as possible.
Of course, in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads on the rights of property, and on the conditions of bourgeois production; by means of measures, therefore, which appear economically insufficient and untenable, but which, in the course of the movement, outstrip themselves, necessitate further inroads upon the old social order, and are unavoidable as a means of entirely revolutionising the mode of production.
These measures will, of course, be different in different countries.
Nevertheless, in most advanced countries, the following will be pretty generally applicable.
...
10. Free education for all children in public schools.
Another way to say it:
Quote:the philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next.
- Anonymous
When a child sits in a classroom 6 to 7 hours a day being lectured by an authority figure, it is very difficult to counter that over dinner in the evening. Especially when the school does not notify the parents about the social issues being discussed.

This is one of those times I wish Trump actually was a fascist, and anyone who thinks that making five year olds question their gender would receive life in prison.
