I though a player could only be franchised twice by the same team

RE: 2017-18 NFL Thread
Yeah, Washington could tag Cousins again in 2018 if they really want to, but that would be the last time. Almost seems as if they would trade him if they get a high price, but play him this year and maybe next if no team makes a big enough offer. Maybe they're hoping that a decent team whose QBs are not getting the job done (such as Denver) will ante up if their QBs fall short again this year.

Bruce Allen's video explanation of the offer to Cousins -- he calls Cousins "Kurt" five times in the video -- looks like one of the old media appearances of late-stage Al Davis. Guess ol' Bruce learned something in all those years that he worked for Al.

Unless Philip Rivers makes it, which seems unlikely, Tomlinson will probably be the last San Diego Charger to make the football Hall.

Warner is likely the last Ram from their 20 years in St. Louis who will get in.

Not sure if any other Oakland Raiders will make it. Plunkett and Flores are possible, though they won one Super Bowl in Oakland and one in LA. Maybe each counts as half. It would be a big surprise if Cliff Branch (who was also on the LA Super Bowl team) or any other Oakland player not already in made it.

The Chargers lack of playoff wins really does hurt Tomlinson and Rivers IMO.

Warner and the Greatest Show on Turf was a thing of beauty. He'd have two more rings if not for Vintieri and his special teams allowing that Pittsburgh TD when he was with the Cards. Especially considering he was Arena League and 2nd fiddle to Trent Green in StL till he went down... just an incredible story all around. I think if he had of stayed with the Cards they would have gotten back one more time before he would have retired.

My Dolphins made a QB upgrade. There's a possibility Tannehill has played his last game as a Dolphin, kinda weird to think about.

Zeke suspended for 6 games. What evidence did the NFL find that the law couldn't?

I'm really liking what I have seen out of the Browns tonight versus the Giants...granted the Giants have sucked all preseason.

Browns cut Lossweiler today. He'll probably be the biggest name cut, though not the best player cut.

He's been a bust since Denver booted him.
