Yes, but it is rare for a coach taking over a team in his mid 60's to bring a team to the S 16 and Tubby has done little to kindle hope for a similar result.

Tubby positively, absolutely needs to do local PR and grab the local kids. Because that always works out.
I'm sure Cal told him exactly that.

He took the job there when he was 52 years old, got them there in 2011 in his 12th year, and then again in 2014.

Fisher made the NCAA Tourney in his third year. A similar result for Tubby would meet the initial minimum performance standard at Memphis.

I was at the game when they lost to NC St in 2012 in Columbus. It was the game before Opie **** the bed against St. Louis.

I think the OP question is legitimate. Not sure why some feel the need to attack the poster rather than answer or ignore the question. I don't know why the coach seems invisible but would like to hear other's responses without the tired 'miserables' comment. That term was lame when first used, not sure why anyone would even use it.

No one knows why he doesn't do any PR, except the people who do know.
