Fall Practice changes
Does the elimination of 2 days only apply to contact practices or can you still have two not contact practices without shells.

When does practice start some have already started.

The morning after Media Day, Coach Armstrong was up yelling in the hallways at 5am for 3-a-days. Seemed like it lasted a week but I think is was only for 3 or four days before we switched to two-a-days all the way up to game week.

These kids today have no idea. I sometimes wonder how we survived it.

Surving is the right word. Minimal sleep, maximum exertion. Just staying hydrated and keeping feet dry was a challenge. Getting to play in half pads for a practice was a treat.

And I wonder how these kids are gonna know the plays. I understand the issue that is leading to this reduction in practice time, but sheesh. They're gonna get to a point where there's not enough practice time to ingrain the playbook.

I'd have to read up on the rules. I thought they have the same # of hours during camp to "teach." Maybe they are do more walk throughs and film??

Coaches like Murray Armstrong wouldn't have a chance in today's feel good society.

Salt pills and one 5 minute water break every 1-2 hours, whether you need it or not. Thirst was a sign of weakness.

I did four years of multiple practice days too!

Even camped at Meeman-Shelby Forest for two weeks one of those years.
