RE: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RECRUITING
I noticed we put in a few offers for 2018 but was wondering if we have anyone else coming in for 2017. With 2 incoming freshmen we will have 10 on our roster, that includes a walk on. Saw that the Camp twins committed to Coastal Carolina. Dont know why they would choose CCU over ODU, unless McCray didnt want them(i know one of them was pretty highly rated)

Based on what I saw...they were better off committing to CCU. They will fit that program better.

Who knows. Pretty campus near myrtle beach? Sometimes factors outside of basketball prowess affect the decision, especially in the women's game.

I lived in Myrtle for 3 years, since when did they get a pretty campus? It's a campus in the middle of a suburban neighborhood near a bunch of strip malls. They have some decent new buildings but pretty?

You knew there would be some recruiting attrition connected to the change. I'm sorry it's these two, but this new coach will rebuild.

I haven't been there, but have seen their recruiting materials. They make it look pretty in the photos, but I'll take your word for it. Do you think ODU by comparison is a more attractive, safer place for female student to study?

ODUs campus is much more attractive. But bordering the industrial area in highland park, Lamberts point and Park Place make them more equal. If ODU was just surrounded by Larchmont on all sides, think of how much better the campus would look. But since it's not, I wouldn't call ODU pretty either.

Neither school is inherently more dangerous than the other. There's a lot of messed up people in both cities. Though, the direct off-campus housing choices are much better there.

What other schools -besides ODU- offered them? I can't find any information on them. Seems like Barefoot hyped them up, when, in reality, they weren't that good.

RE: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RECRUITING
I guess 2017 recruiting is pretty much over. I thought we would at least see 1 or 2 come in this summer. Maybe she is basically writing this year off and focusing on next year. There is a lot of PT available for Freshman or grad transfers to take.

it is possible that Karen did hype the Camp twins up, she is all Hype and no Show in my opinion. Supposedly they were highly rated on ASGR and another recruiting service with lots of offers but none of those offers are in print. Was just really wondering if we were locked in at 10 for the rest of the year or if anybody else was gonna join us since at 10players(3 post players from what i see) isnt much, especially if an injury occurs. this will be a rebuilding phase, no doubt, but atleast i have confidence that McCray will make the best with what she has and these girls will finally have a true coach.

Well, ODU will get tested early at least: Duke comes to The Ted on Nov. 22.

Even though our ladies, at this time, will largely be underdogs to Duke, I'm excited about the challenge. If nothing at all, it clearly shows Coach Nikki is bent on bringing back fun times to ODU in a short order. I don't know about you, but I'm stoked!

Very doubtful that McCray scheduled duke. This game is mostly like a return on the game from last year

Someone I know who follows women's basketball pretty closely said they weren't much of a loss, other than the fact that this team is short on bodies to just put on the floor. I expect this season is going to be a very long one. Not only is this team short on talent, it is short on just players. Hopefully, everyone will be patient and give the Coach some time to build a team we can be proud of. While I'm not at all optimistic about this year, I am for the future.

So do you think any of our girls have potential like bernadeco running the point. Makayla as a second guard, kelly loftus, Jessica Munoz and Ashley jackson

RE: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RECRUITING
If the girls remaining drastically reduce turnovers and play with some sense of purpose I'll be happy. That will be a huge improvement over what we've seen the last few years. Later, when Nikkii can recruit some of her players, we'll hopefully start seeing the wins.

Offered 2020 pg/SG Loyal McQueen out of SC. USC has also offered the 5-7 combo guard. She is the 5th ranked player in the state of SC.

RE: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RECRUITING
Why would we be recruiting a player of this caliber we have no chance of getting? How much time are the coaches spending on this kid? Wouldn't it be better for them to concentrate on some kid from Lake Taylor that no one's ever heard of before and that way we can get them to come to little old mediocre us? I get weary of reading about these star players that we don't get. I know the rest of the fan base is, too. I say when it comes to recruits 2** or nothing. Wasting time and money on this foolishness.

RE: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RECRUITING
It is called leveraging existing relationships. Also players bond with coaches and perhaps she feels she can be a star in this league vs just being another player in the SEC. I like her approach and we will see if it pays off. Give her a chance!
