France, England, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy... ...none of those are third world countries.

They are compared to the United States. Hell, the EU was created just so they could compete with us in trade. Our time is running out though. Soon we'll all just be kicking soccer balls around in empty mall parking lots.

Even Japan, Australia, and SK are also advancing to World Cups. It's the world's game.

They've all been in decline for some time, all due to embracing soccer.

.

Perhaps some "Extreme Vetting" is in order for any immigrant looking to bring their appetites for soccer to America?

MLS has a culture problem, it's trying to reach the casual fan when there is a better product on tv when it should be trying to build and grow culture around the clubs and academies.

That said, we just drew nearly 6.5k to an amateur side here in Detroit, soccer has potential in the states.

Our forefathers are literally crying...

A game where a draw is a win is about as Un-American as it gets. 10 to 1 the majority of fans in that picture had no documentation.

It was a state record. Nashville is under consideration for an MLS franchise. The funding structure for the stadium has not been determined. Apparently, Nissan stadium (home of the Titans) is not acceptable.
