He has always been on the roster, even though he didn't show up. Not sure anything has changed since everyone else reported a few weeks ago.

QB play makes or breaks just about any team. Based on that alone, we have an advantage over a lot of teams if Roback can stay healthy.

WMU is a total wildcard with ZERO experience at QB. Their overall talent should mask a lot of the QB inexperience, but nightmare QB play could also be a big problem for an otherwise very solid team.

Once again, I completely agree with you.

WMU is still a very deep team with a hole at the QB position.

Amazing how this happens that sometimes teams have too many QBs and other times things go very badly and they have little or no experience at the position.

JUCO Frenzy is reporting that Walter Harris III from Riverside CC (California) has decommitted from EMU. Not sure how accurate that information is but it was posted July 12. Riverside CC is a high quality football junior college which produces numerous FBS candidates. If true, I hope Dakota Ramsey his offensive line teammate remains committed to EMU. One only needs to look at CC and staff's development of junior college players here at EMU to see that EMU is a good fit. I thought Harris, Ramsey and Glass would report when fall practice opens in August pending clearinghouse processes. I could be wrong on Harris and Ramsey and maybe they are or were in line for January 2018 enrollment.

Not sure if it was grades or someone putting sugar plum dreams of playing at bigger school if he bolted EMU.

He signed a LOI with us and just can't walk away and sign with another D-I school.

When a top 20 FB prospect 'falls' to EMU there is always the question: Why? I'm guessing that he might have been a borderline B1G prospect.

None of the major Arizona are based in Phoenix as Bob points out, so I am guessing my original post was wrong and Jarius is heading to a junior college and his recruitment (like Kilby's) will be re-opened. My comments re future QB after Roback leaves remain appropriate. And by the way most of the departures from EMU from our football team are grade related or behavior related and likewise when a player announced on signing day doesn't show up. I think Grissom is the only one out of this recruiting class the 2017 who didn't show up. Last year it was Hawkins a DB out of Florida and another player I don't remember.

You should double check what Bob says. Someone could say "I live in Detroit" but it really could be Southfield, Dearborn, etc.

I've seen a lot of our former players and/or recruits at JUCOs so I think CC is fine with releasing them to play at that level. And who knows we may see them back at EMU? I think Josh Wilkes is one possibility. PS Now we know why we signed a JUCO QB don't we?
