I'm going to let this season play out and defer all levels of Tiger basketball expertise to the experts. It's Tubby's call whether he wants to modify or change the job description of Butch Pierre's current job title. I'm over the obsession and condescending attitude regarding Saul who was responsible for recruiting David Nickleberry. I'm not self-deluded enough to remotely believe my status as a fan allows me the oversimplification and entitlement to be critical of this staff's every freaking move. Go Tigers!

Hopefully, he's been an assistant coach and recruited at a high level, therefore, he has tremendous relationships with AAU and high school coaches. I vaguely remember Tubby saying there would be some changes made to that particular job description after the position became vacant.

I think the Pierre hire is a step in the right direction, but the concerns about a one year stint and placing him in a position where he cannot directly recruit players (his speciality) are valid. It would be better if he replaced Saul.

What make you think its a one-year stint? From what I read him and Tubby are friends more than boss and employee. I would think that they talked and discussed what they wanted and agree or he wouldn't have taken the job.
