Trade TA to the Clips for a trade exception, use trade exception for a Celtics trade for one of these guys? From Woj at ESPN:
"The Boston Celtics have been aggressively trying to create enough salary cap room to give Gordon Hayward the four-year, $128 million maximum contract he agreed upon by discussing trades involving Marcus Smart, Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley, sources told ESPN."

Yup. I'll take any but prefer Bradley, Crowder, then Smart.

I'd take any of the three... quickly.

I'd take Smart. We still need a backup point guard and with Z-Bo leaving and the team stocking up on shooters, and assuming Green is back, the team is set up perfectly for a big bodied bully of a guard who can get to the rim. He is also big enough that you could play him and Conley at the same time with Conley playing off the ball. The only reason not to do it would be if they are expecting Baldwin to make a big leap next season and having Smart on the roster would slow his development.
Any of the three would fill a need though. Bradley might be the best replacement for Tony out there, even though they just signed Seldon and McLemore. And Crowder would be excellent insurance if Parson's never gets healthy again and/or Rade isn't ready to contribute.

RE: Grizzlies Free Agency Outlook
I wonder if we are involved with this potential Utah-Boston sign-and-trade for Hayward. Have to match 80% of salaries to make the trade work, and won't want to give up Jae, Avery & Marcus. But they have them on such good contracts, makes it hard to do the math.
Maybe Grizz get the trade exception from the Clips for TA, and immediately use it to facilitate the Jazz-Celtics trade. Might be able to move Brandan Wright's contract as part of the deal. Boston wants a big, Wright on a cheap, expiring contract, and Wright played in Boston in 14-15 for about a month, came over in Rondo trade.

RE: Grizzlies Free Agency Outlook
So... right now this is how our depth chart looks:
PG: Mike Conley Jr. / Andrew Harrison / Wade Baldwin IV
SG: Ben McLemore / Troy Daniels / Wayne Selden Jr. / Dillon Brooks
SF: Chandler Parsons / James Ennis III / Rade Zagorac
PF: JaMychal Green / Jarell Martin / Ivan Rabb
C: Marc Gasol / Deyonta Davis / Brandan Wright
Something has to give because we currently are committed to 16 players.
But past that, I have some serious questions at the backup PG and PF spots...
I'm pretty optimistic about McLemore at the 2 and have always been in favor of Daniels getting more minutes, so I'm okay with the depth at 2.

I wonder what players would we sign for the 2 way contracts with the G league team? Wallace mentioned it won't be the rooks so, we would most likely have to cut someone from the current roster.

RE: Grizzlies Free Agency Outlook
Jarell on last year of guaranteed 1st round contract. Grizz only owe him $1.3M this year, so could cut or stretch him.
Market for centers is non-existent, but still think Atlanta would take Brandan for one year at $6M. All the Hawks have is Plumlee and Diamond Stone. I know they are rebuilding, but that is ridiculous.

Kobi Simmons from Arizona is one. Haven't announced the 2nd yet.
I learned it can't be a drafted rookie on a 2-way contract under the new CBA. Grizz would have to renounce the drafted rookie's rights, have the rookie clear waivers, and then sign to a 2-way. Which would almost never happen.

Probably shouldn't have said 'almost never happen'. It could happen. Point is, if Grizz cut let's say Rabb to try to get him on a 2-way with the Hustle, then Rabb would be a free agent and could sign anywhere he wanted.

Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account @wojespn
Euro star point guard Milo Teodosic has agreed to a two-year, $12.3M deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources tell ESPN.
Teodosic the perfect rookie for Doc Rivers, he's already 30 years old.
How does this affect Clips pursuit of Tony? And thought Clips were capped out, how are they able to offer this? Confused.

Figure there would be some action today, since the moratorium ended. Instead, crickets.
Bunch of restricted free agents getting extremely worried about now. No reasons for teams with cap room to wait, as soon as they get an offer sheet signed, incumbent teams only have 48 hours to match.

Stuff has happened and I'm sure more will:
- Rudy Gay to Spurs
- VC to Kings
- Olynk to Heat

Free agent Tyreke Evans has agreed to a one-year, $3.3M deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, league sources tell ESPN.
Great deal. Good for Chris Wallace, Hollinger and Stefaski. Despite our poor draft record, our FO does a good job with trades and low-dollar FA signings.

You wouldn't think SAC would be the team that you'd want to trade free agents with, but I'm pretty happy with the guys we got.
