Not hard to do when you can just show a picture of the Atlanta skyline and say "we have a building in there somewhere"

I like this thread and it doesn't matter to me if the building is good, bad, or ugly it's still a part of the campus' history.

Arlington, Little Rock, and Monroe; where are your pics and videos?

Not great. There are only a handful of bars in town. The most frequented is hole in the wall place called The Front Porch. Been a part of Troy student life since the early 70's.

A new place, Trojan Tavern, just opened up on the square in downtown and offers a great mix for locals and students.

There is a place called The Double Branch, and it's a pretty redneck place. Even by southern Alabama standards.

Neo-collegiate Georgian type architecture is popular on a number of Sunbelt campuses. Coastal, Troy, South Alabama, Georgia Southern. Don't know if I missed any place else, but that's a lot.

ULL also seems to have similar architecture. Troy's campus looks excellent from what I've seen. Very impressed.

Here's a few pictures of TXST's Fire House Studios, home of the Sound Recording Program. It is in the old San Marcos City Hall / Fire Station just off the square in downtown. You can see campus in the background of one of the pictures.

Here's a rendering of the new engineering building that is under construction right now. It's a $120 million dollar, 166,000 GSF state-of-the art building that will be completed by Fall 2018. It will be across the street from the McCoy Hall (business building).

RE: 2017 Campus Appreciation Thread
Some interesting information from the TXST 2017-2027 Campus Master Plan:

-TXST has the highest utilization in the state for classrooms and teaching labs
-TXST has the largest learning space deficit in the state
-TXST seeks to maintain 3% YoY growth in graduate enrollment and 1.5% growth in undergraduate enrollment, putting the University at around 48,000 students by 2027
-TXST seeks to maintain 5% YoY growth in Total Restricted Research Expenditures, putting the University at around $86 million by 2027
-TXST seeks to expand it's academic space needs from 2.9 million gross square feet (GSF), to 4.4 million GSF by 2027; this only includes classrooms, teaching spaces, laboratories, research space, library space, and academic offices (support offices, athletics, dormitories, utilities, cafeterias, etc. not included)
-TXST seeks to build another 1025 new beds on campus, renovate another 303 beds, and demolish or re-purpose another 700 beds
-TXST seeks to build 2000 garage parking spaces on campus
