I'm not sure about the knife thing. The charge earlier said something like knife "or" malicious wounding. The article also said no one was seriously injured so I wouldn't assume he stabbed someone.

Malicious wounding is tough one to break down. It's more of a intent crime to some degree. Meaning, you cut, stab, shoot or wound a person with the malicious intent to cause injury. Usually, it is a gun, knife, or some kind of instrument. However, it can also be by fists alone depending on the circumstances, i.e. size disparity, sucker punch, brutality of the attack.
Without knowing all the facts, alli can is that it isn't usually charged unless something major happened. Very serious charge that if found guilty, will carry a lengthy sentence. The five year "minimum" is a jury thing, won't get into all that.

If charges against these suspended players are dismissed, would all three be reinstated? In other words, does it take a conviction in court to get a player permanently kicked off the team?

Bobby has kicked guys off team without a conviction before. Probably depends on what happened

AND the University should advise all students not to go there. Similar to what the Navy does to unscrupulous businesses.

What did the club do, that cause this action by the FB players. If they're serving underage or inciting, that's one thing.

Did you read the article? If you did, you should have noticed that there have been a rash of incidents recently. If the place is attracting trouble, it is the kind of place that our football players need to avoid. Pretty simple concept.

"Baldwin said there were other incidents involving football players in recent months that led him to contact ODU officials and let them know the players involved were banned from The Edge. "
Sounds like the problem is out of control football players.

There has been many issues at this bar for sometime other then just with Football players.
Time to keep the team out of there
Make it off limits.

They let in 18 year olds, but need to be 21 to drink. Telling a college kid you can't drink or go to a bar, might be a tough one.
Thinking back to the 4400 Club, Steve and crew were always throwing people out by the seat of their pants. Remember a couple of guys who's feet didn't touch the ground till they hit the street. Edge just needs bigger bouncers. Lol.

Steve has put on some weight, but looks to be about 45 in both pictures.

Does he still have a temper?
After graduating in 79 I lived in an apartment on 44th st. across from the house where he lived. One morning I was going to work and there he was fuming with a Norfolk cop, while his Jeep sat on blocks with all the wheels missing. He was pacing like an angry bull (who wouldn't in this situation?) saying things while the cop was trying to calm him down.
