It might be time to put more value into being top 10 or top 15 because there's going to be a lot of competition and opinion on those spots. Even divvying the last spaces up into O and D, skill and line so everyone has a shot their special interest will be represented, will cause bar fights.

Top QB is given more because of history but if picking teams and had to choose between Ealey and Zwick? Not so clear. Ealey of course would still be on the winning team but many wrong people might not think so.

Chuck is Toledo best QB ever. He could do everything. I've seen UT's QBs
going back to John Schneider. Mr. Ealey is the best.

Schneider should show up soon. Worked with John for many years-had some great stories about Rocket football.

Led UT to its first MAC FB title. MAC Offensive Player of the Year. Set a bunch of Rocket records. Drafted by some team named the Patriots(who knows whatever happened to them?).

Pretty amazing when you think about the 35-0 teams from the "Ealey era". Had three guys on those teams that were all-American with one being consensus AA and appearing on the Bob Hope Christmas special. Long, Ealey, and Curtis Johnson may be the 3 best players to be on the field at the same time for Toledo. Add to that all the other guys they had that were all-MAC and those that were significant role players on both offense and defense. Not hard to understand how they were ranked so highly and went undefeated for so long. Too bad Johnson was only with Long and Ealey for that one year in 1969, but of the three - he had the longest and most productive NFL career. At 6'1 (or 6'5" with that Afro) and about 190 to 195, he was a big cornerback in the NFL.

I really hope someones at Carlson are actively hunting down and archiving, digitizing video relevant to the University.

As for the football clips, these should be playing consistently before game and in the concessions areas and in some "museum" on grounds. Photos on the wal are nice but at some level, UT should have its own easily accessible "Cooperstown" in order to improve the fan experience and encourage memorized loyalties.

Like seeing the original clips. Would LOVE to see how much they can be perceptually improved using digital image processing techniques.

Saddest part of the 35-0 gang IMO was that very little viewable film remain if I remember correctly. What set them apart among many things was their quickness for their size, especially on defense. Of course Chuck's ability to move and stretch the field was unbelievable as well.

Should have added this earlier...how did we not include folks in the HOF on the vote list? Would think the list starts their at least...I'm just saying.

Interesting discussion on Gene Swick...a ton of awards but not the winning record you would expect. Not sure of the reason but it appeared that he wasn't the leader that other QBs have been for the program.

I believe Andy had the longest NFL career of any Rocket. 15 seasons with New Orleans, St. Louis & Detroit. Played in 199 games. Started 159.

Maybe it's been thought of but just to throw it out there, I'd check the archives of the opponents and the medias that covered them.
