Three-Star SG Signs with New Mexico State
SG Kortrigk Miles (6'4 Fr) has signed to play basketball for Chris Jan's at New Mexico State.

https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/3194

He was offered by Houston, Air Force, Texas Arlington, and North Texas to name a few.

He averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior. He was rated the 24th best player in the state of Texas.

Here is the proof that Chris Jans will continue to recruit big time recruits to New Mexico State.

Not a 3 star and we've already been talking about this in the proper thread.

RE: Three-Star SG Signs with New Mexico State
It is debatable whether Mile is a true 3-star prospect taking the accumulative rating of all the scouting sites. However, Miles was the 2016 Texas Class 4A Tournament MVP...

And, the 2017 TABC Class 4A Player of the Year...

Here is the video of him being named the 2016 Class 4A State Tournament MVP scoring 28 points in the state championship game as a junior.

After watching his highlight film, this kid has Jahmar Young type talent written all over him. He will be an elite guard in this conference.

Quit getting excited Frank. GCU and Bakersfields recruits are all much better than NMSUs.

RE: Three-Star SG Signs with New Mexico State
Chris Jan's starts off hot by signing rivals.com three-star SG Kortrijk Miles (6'4 Fr) who averaged 22 PPG and 12 RPG as a senior at Lincoln HS in Dallas. He comes from a basketball family, his older brother played basketball at West Virginia and Arkansas while his dad played basketball at Texas Tech.

No. He is scheduled to graduate. Keep in mind, before Weir left, NMSU's was bloated with 18 players and only Baker as a senior. I think Weir's plans was to see Taylor, Bhullar, Pennie and possibly Wilkins graduate early making room for his four-plus new signees. Also, Weir ushered Chance Ellis out the door as well. To date, besides the signees who were released, the only real unforeseen loss has been Huggins. If Weir had stayed, NMSU would have added Harris, McCants, Figueroa, Robinson, Simmons, and Hadley. And, lose Baker, Taylor, Bhullar, Ellis, and Pennie.

The losses were expected. Although I was hoping Pennie would have stayed since the door had opened with Huggins, Simmons, and probably Figueroa gone. Oh well.

Jens will now need to fill three scholarships...

1. Harris - projected starter
2. Ndir - projected starter
3. Hadley
4. Miles
5. J. Jones - projected starter
6. McCants
7. M. Jones
8. Chuha - projected starter
9. Wilkins - projected starter
10. Gnahore

As one can see NMSU still has a competitive starting line up but the bench is depleted.

I'll be interested in who Jans gets for those 3 open spots as well as how Gnahore looks this year coming back from injury.

I really do not see Gnahore being impactful with the way his knees are.

On the up side I see only 1 maybe 2 of the scholarships being filled.

On the down side I see none and playing next year with only 10 players. Possibly 9 with the health's of Ndir and Ganhore being questionable.

To be honest, I don't see Gnahore sticking around if his knees are truly as bad as reported by some Aggie fans in the know. He is already starting his third season at NMSU and he has yet to log a minute on the court.

I think NMSU needs at least one more guard and one more big man to have a decent rotation next season.
