One show that will come back next year is Designated Survivor. It's the Lefts only presidency. They already passed a gun bill on the show. It's so Liberal but yet I watch it because it has a good story line. The part where they deal with bills and such bores me because it's so obvious they are trying to propagandize the Leftists views. People that don't follow politics like we do probably are sucked into that view though. They probably think the president in the show is the real one. LOL

How do you guys function in society if all you see watching a made up TV show is politics?

It's television. The idea is to make something completely up out of thin air and place it in a real world setting. I watched Madam Secretary the other night and CBS managed to conjure up a scenario in which the US in a joint op with Russia accidentally kills dozens of Russians troops and Russia responds by invading the former Soviet countries.

I mean, I guess Designated Survivor passing a Gun Bill makes it liberal, but it's a made up TV show about what would happen if a bomb ever killed most of the government during the state of the Union. Who the frick cares if they pass a gun bill during a single episode of 22?

"…cuz that's the only way a gun bill will pass on a make believe tv program". It makes Bison and her ilk happy, a participation trophy if you will.

It is a really good show idealizing how the government should work. Unfortunately reality is not like they present it to be.

The Killing didn't really get picked up by another network. Netflix was already in on the production of the show.

The thing that won't get Last Man Standing picked up is the fact that it's a sitcom in the dying multicam/laughtrack format. If the show was produced like Mindy, I'd say it could get picked up. But it's produced like Home Improvement, which can't even get syndication outside of the Hallmark channel.

I like the show as well. I also used to watch West Wing and it was liberal as heck as well. I usually separate TV from reality though as that makes things more enjoyable.

I was being a tad harsh. I've been watching Lucifer from the start and it's pretty good. I was concerned season two was going to take a weird turn but it didn't. Hence the, "doesn't suck" comment.

2 Broke Girls got the axe on the same day.

Baby Daddy was canceled on ABC Family, now Freeform.

Outside of The Big Bang Theory, laugh track sitcoms of the 70's, 80's and 90's are pretty much dead.

Nashville got picked up by CMT.
COPs got picked up by Spike.
Then you are getting shows making a comeback like Girl Meets World which got canceled. Full House as Fuller House. Twin Peaks. Dallas got canceled on TNT.

ABC is bringing back American Idol, Battle of the Network Stars and The Gong Show.

For some reason last weekend I ran across a M*A*S*H marathon. It's amazing how good that show was considering the time/topic and how bad most current shows are in comparison.

There were some episodes of Roseanne were very funny.
Murphy Brown and Evening Shades were two of the worst comedy shows on tv.

The reason Seinfeld stands alone at the top for me is that the show never lost its soul. The characters had the same traits the whole way and it didn't become zany. It's hard to write that and keep it successful.

They are making more episodes of Arrested Development, but another channel picked it up.Netflix from 2013 to now.

I don't think you can compare M*A*S*H, a pioneer in many ways and all-time great TV show to any show in any era of television.

I think TV is the best it ever has been, but the variety of ways to get a show to air allows for more terrible shows to get in.

And TBBT is tanking in the ratings. I think The Office, Parks and Rec, and Sunny killed the format.

I also have a pretty unpopular opinion: Married With Children is one of the worst shows I've seen.
