Me too but unfortunately the Josh Pastner Experiment set us WAY back. RC should have had the balls to tell Caulkins to screw himself and hired Coach Drew.

Damn Caulkins/RCJ

BS

College basketball is like a lizard's tail. Cut I off and it will still grow back quickly.

You just actually have to get good players/

Six months after Josh took over the program, Memphis had a top 5 recruiting class and was top 15 in preseason rankings the next season.

Yeah true to some extent. We barely made the tournament in JP's second year and had to win the conference tournament to get in. Thank God for CUSA.

So, it is down between us and them now! I wonder what chances do we have of getting him?

kid must be good...I'd take either Darrington or Hardy...first one to commit gets the spot I'd guess.

I don't believe he is coming to Memphis, Kareem and Darrington play the same position. plus Jeremiah is the returning starter, probably better for him at UT or his hometown Toledo.

Yea, sounds like he's leaning UTK with his comments and the way we're going hard after other guards.

Tell the whole Story...

Is it easier to recruit coming off of E8, E8, Championship Game and Sweet 16 or coming off of 2nd round Exit, 2nd Round Exit, Nothing,

I just don't see the point of playing the games. All the practicing, the travel. It should just be a recruiting competition.

Unless we pay players or they are idiots, we cannot recruit top ranked players right now. It is going to take at least two years of demonstrated improvement to even entertain the idea of nabbing a top recruit. There are other factors of course, but until we show, we can get into post season play, they are not coming to Memphis. Now on the other hand we could hire a dad or get a shoebox.

Why do you say it doesn't look good? Just because someone tweeted something doesn't mean it actually doesn't look good. Again if the visit was so awesome at ut, how come he didn't commit and sign while he was there?

I think we're still in the hunt. Not saying he'll choose Memphis, but it was a good sign he didn't commit to UT when he visited.

Snow is great, but that crystal ball is broke. It has a huge hole on the top and several cracks along the sides. Nothing is inside but broken glass and cigarette ashes.
