I heard that Tulsa is even getting lights installed in the gazebo, so this is awesome for the AAC...

Some are closer than others to doing that at the moment, but if we can all start clicking on all cylinders at the same time we'll be a force of a conference. P6 or not.

I think this years conference preseason rankings will be telling. Orlando Sentinel is usually a good pulse on pecking order (albeit they're really bad with actual predictions)

Really, only UConn is guaranteed to be bad next year. Everyone else would be mid range or better in any other (G4) conference I feel.

UCF fans. SMH. They couldn't even see Shaquem Griffin's left hand much less a link.

Question:

Is Connelly picking USF to finish 6th in the AAC or are these previews in no particular order?

I used to think it was in order of finish in the conference last year, but USF finished 3rd didn't they?

Projected 2017 record and S&P+ ranking: 9-3 (56th)

He's projecting USF to finish 9-3 which doesn't seem indicative of a team finishing 6th in the AAC unless he's saying USF will have 3 conferences losses and the next 5 teams have 3 or fewer conference losses.

Considering USF's hardest OOC contest might be SJSU next season, i'd bet that's exactly the case.

Bump for Tulsa. Connelly is high on them apparently.

I think Connelly's article puts into words how I, and presumably most Tulsa fans, feel about this coming season. If we can reload our passing game and continue to improve on defense we will be deadly. But nobody knows if we can do that. If we don't, .500 seems about right.

Bonus: My driver's ed teacher took the first photo used in the article. Props Coach Johnson!

IMO it would be very hard not to predict USF as the AAC favorite (apparently) with all those starters returning from an 11 win team. And TU will have to play them in Tampa. But don't get me wrong, TU will again be a very good FB team.

I agree. USF will be hard to beat as long as the coaching change goes smoothly.
