He wanted to stay close to home, because his mom doesn't like to fly.

Plus Ole Miss staff was on him since 2011 when he was injured.

So many of these kids have a hard time when it starts to become clear that they will never reach the NBA. Markel is a decent D1 player, that is about it. He doesn't shoot the ball well, doesn't get into the paint. He's relatively athletic for D1, but not the type of athlete that turns NBA heads at all.

This is a ridiculous statement. How in the world was he looking over his shoulder? He played a ton of minutes. And there wasn't anyone on the bench that would be pushing him to take his minutes. Joe Jackson played four years looking over his shoulder for a coach who couldn't manage his players or get along with them at all. All I can say is, I'm glad I'm not listening to the daily beat down of our program and our coach. What really gets me is for 7 years everyone on the radio (almost) I do remember Peter E. blasting Josh early in the morning before Wolo came on, other than that I don't know of any harsh criticism coming from anyone. Certainly not Jason S., Not John M., not Gary P., the late George L., they all treated Josh with kiddie gloves. He's so nice. He's the nicest guy. Everyone loves Josh. Nobody blames Josh. He's so nice. He's such a nice guy. Over and over and over for 7 years.

He made his bed so now he needs to shut the #%## up and focus on his new SEC team. Hopefully, he can take all the haters and miserables with him. Go Tigers!!

Team games were doing pretty well- at least through the 18-7 start.

Of course the miserable finish and subsequent transfers is the story- but man.

The best part of his game was driving to the basket and he stopped doing that as the season went on. After every game Tubby would say we need Crawford to drive to the basket. But I guess he did not want to be coached but only wanted to do his own thing. Which he did and his scoring went down.

Boy, no kidding. Looking over his shoulder? Dude played more minutes than he'll get anywhere, and the situation would be the same/similar next year. Free to play his game? Another telling statement. Perhaps if these guys were more willing to play a TEAM game instead of worrying about getting theirs, the results might've been different.

He also said he had one more year and this was a "business" decision. What? I guess he didn't think he could get where he needed to be professionally from Memphis, so he headed to Oxford to make all his dreams come true? I know he's just a kid, but he's the one on the radio talking, not me.

Some day I guess we'll find out what Tubby vs Keelon really looked like. Tubby makes 3 mil, Kellon has 2 more chances, who knows who will win this one in the end, but Tubby already can't lose.
