Ed Miller just tweeted that Zoran Talley has been dismissed from the team for violation of team rules.

Hope he ends up in a good place.

People would not listen when I said he lacked the work ethic or discipline to be the player he could be. He was a slackerd that had so much potential but was simply put not willing to put in what was needed to stay on team and be a major contributor. I wish him the best and hope he figures it out. Maybe this will wake him up.

This is a disappointing development. I think we will be able to replace his production, but losing someone with untapped potential hurts the soul.

Hopefully he lands on his feet and learns from his mistakes (whatever they might be)

I agree but it was his choice not to develop to his potential or stay out of trouble. He brought others down. I think this is addition by subtraction.

Looks like every time the team seems to be taking a step or two in the right direction to improve themselves, they take a step or two backwards. I just can't help but believe that it is hard to field teams as strong as we have had in the past with this much churn taking place among the players from year to year. Sorry to see Talley being asked to leave and wish him the best.

Obviously opens up more PT for Heuit and Godwin. Hope they are ready to play. Green helps as well. BJ going to have to be the man next year.

This is terrible news. Talley had more talent and athleticism than anyone on the team.

Do you know why he was asked to leave (and if so are you saying he shouldn't have been dismissed) or does your hatred for Jones cloud your judgment on issues that involve the team?

I don't give a damn why he was kicked off the team, that's not the point.

The point is that yet another player has been kicked off the team during Jones's tenure. This pretty much assures yet another season with no NCAA's.

He needs to go himself, this is absurd and embarrassing.

This getting really bad. I can't believe every off season someone big gets kicked off the team. What is JJ doing?

If I remember correctly, he had a lot of trouble with players getting kicked out at UVA too.

Well, at least we have a scholarship available if Yetna or Kante come aboard. Better now than in October.

Short leash just got shorter for jj. Hope he knows what he's doing. Still NCAA or bust. That order just got taller.

Razor is right... This is a continuing trend with Coach Jones. Good coaches handle their players better than this.
