Schaefer incredibly annoying, but man did he have those girls ready to play.

UConn once again excellent but were not as good as they were last year when no one could beat them period. Unfortunately they will likely be close to that good next year. But this year, poor play against a good team like Moo, equals a loss.

Total brainfart on UConn's part. First they start the game not being able to hit the ocean from the pier. Then had the game in their hands and pulled the dumbest move i have ever seen.

Down 2 with 28 seconds to go with the ball and less time on shot clock. They call time out. Giving officials to go to monitor and review a play that happened on last trip down.MSU player had hit the UConn player in throat with a forearm in an attempt to deny her the ball.

The review resulted in a flagrant 1 being called. So UConn gets two free throws and the ball. So they are now tied and shot clock is off. Instead of playing for last shot the UConn player tried to force a shot with 12 seconds to go and turned the ball over.

MSU gets the ball and is able to get game winning shot off at the buzzer.

I will say this the officials gave the MSU coach a LOT of leeway after explaining the review. He was hot yelling and had top be physically restrained by assistants. Easily could have resulted in T. If it was a regular season game very likely they would have T'ed him up.

There is a UConn women's basketball thread on our main board with little opposition. Think about how we got to this point. It's unbelievable where we are now. I'm so sad.

It was a big sports story...nationally tons are discussing it.

Yes, they made many more mistakes than usual...and against a good team, that can bite you.

They were so good last year it never came close to mattering. Stunning what Auriemma has done there. ESPN likely less happy about the final game from a TV standpoint, but as that game stayed close, they likely got a lot of eyes watching the end and the OT.

Wonder if CBS not hoping for a men's final of South Carolina and Oregon.

And...chomped...hard. Odd obsessors. Very odd.

holy ****...that ending! I thought when they called the T for throat punch it was ovah.

But here comes OT! And the restaurant kicks us to the curb...so we took off running to the next location with a big screen....

Where we got to see the last 4 mins, including toughass Morgan William scootch in to take the charge---which seemed like it could have gone either way. lol

I was about dying watching William dribbling around while the seconds ticked.. ticked ticked off the clock

till lordy mama, she hits the game winner over that shotblocking giant.
