I love his resume says he was in charge of the coaches clinic and the autographed basketballs.

Going to obviously support him, but i don't like it. I don't think he gives us the best chance to continue down the current path at all. Just don't

Y'all need to stop. Seriously.

Think about all the things we were upset at NCSU fans for.

Don't be ridiculous.

We have ZERO reason to be upset by this.

State fans were mad at coach with a track record of success at every stop. We just hired a coach who has done nothing but hide behind Roy's flannel coat tails for years.

Question: What in McGrath's history supports the "pressing/trapping/run-defend-win" narrative?

Serious question.

Yeah. To six Final Fours in the last 13 years. How awful. I'm sure he didn't help get them there at all.

Give me a break.

Nothing, that is the main reason for my disappointment, Is that i don't think we will continue down the same road that brought us success. I hope i'm wrong, gawd do i hope i'm wrong.

It's possible the guy can coach. But frankly we have little to base it on. I'd have liked to see a guy like him coach at a low major first. But I do trust Bass and will hope for the best.

My thoughts exactly. I don't understand why Christian wasn't considered, but I'm not qualified to make the hire either.

As for Hoops, Wojo and Collins were similar hires for Marquette and Northwestern. His pedigree is no reason to question the hire. It simply isn't.

Bass made the decision that his primary focus wasn't Keatts' style. Whether or not we agree with that is irrelevant. Everyone trusted Bass a week ago. This is a good hire, and it's illogical to complain at this stage.

There's no evidence to suggest that he'll press, but he's never been a head coach, so no one knows exactly what his coaching philosophy will be. I mentioned early this week that Wes Miller implemented a 3/4 Oregon-style press this season.

How many scholarships do we have open? I know we've lost two signed recruits, but I'm not certain if we have 2 or 3 schollys open.

Speculation, but I can definitely see Sean May joining the staff. Not sure who else he'd look at to fill out his staff.

Ehh, an overrated NBA failure. I'll pass on him. Hoping he reached out to Blizz.

Pretty Sure we have 2 scollys open(the 2 that de-committed)

33 is usually on top of that stuff.

May would be a good big man coach. Great job using his body and great foot work. Flamed out in the NBA because of his knees, but I'm more interested in his coaching ability than his NBA career. You may not be able to get over your Carolina hatred, but you're going to have to get used to the connection. Keatts relied heavily on his Hargrave connection. I expect McGrath will rely on his connections as well. That said, Jerod Hasse has a group of assistants that I've never heard of.
