YOOHOO
15 commits this early would put even Troy into the top ten. Not a bad class but will end up falling to about 10 when it's all said and done.

YOOHOO
#3 is not bad coming off a 4-8 season and changing most of the coaching staff.

I don't think there's any way Miami holds that spot, but I think this is going to be a significantly better class than they've been doing, and should finish in the top ten.

Eight 4 stars and a 5 star is an excellent start. I would put them solidly in the top twenty even with no additional recruits.
What's most interesting to me here is that three ACC programs are out of the gate so fast in the recruiting battle. It speaks volumes about how recruits are viewing the conference.

Agreed. The ACC absolutely has to parlay it's surgence (is that a word...resurgence implies we've been there before) into recruiting gains or it's not sustainable.
FSU should always be ok, and it looks pretty apparent that Clemson isn't going away as a recruiting power. Miami should be able to recruit classes in the top 10-15 fairly consistently, even with lesser facilities. What we need is a few other schools, like UNC and VT and/or some others to become fixtures in the top 25.
Many schools in the ACC have had short-term recruiting peaks over the years, but we need a few more schools to institutionally be committed to the recruiting game. I don't follow recruiting outside FSU that closely, but I am hearing about some of the second tier ACC recruiting schools starting to win a few battles against SEC and B1G schools, which is promising.

Without question, Miami has the top early 2018 class in the country.

The Dolphins and University of Miami football team’s home field will not only have a new appearance after $500 million in upgrades

University of Miami plays in the nicest stadium ...

Miami can’t stop adding quality players to its recruiting class, it seems.
The latest highly regarded prospect to join the fold for 2018: Las Vegas tight end Brevin Jordan, No. 3 nationally at his position in the 247Sports composite ratings.
Including Jordan, 11 of Miami's 16 commits are 4-stars or better; 6 in nat'l top-100 (247 composite)
