The Prodigal Son motif is appealing and we certainly need him, but Austin (for is own good) needs to conquer his own apparent demons before considering resumption of his basketball career.

The Reddit rumors are that Austin was telling his friends at UVA that he could play next year. Also, he still does a lot of coke. [1]

Take that for what it's worth, I don't think brostradamus11 is a credible source. I hope the kid figures it all out and is playing somewhere next year even if it's not with us.

I assumed he was talking about the Nichols family letting Josh know about Austin's intentions to transfer. Josh made it sound like they blindsided him and didn't give him time to recruit a replacement. If I remember correctly, each side had a different timeline for when Josh was made aware that Austin would transfer.

Austin has been down in FL prepping for his professional career.
