It looked just like that when we lived there 2002-4 , even then "no go zones" and muslims storming Synagogues on Friday nights trying to gain entry or get to the Jews arriving for services( we were caught in just that kind of riot one night going home)..this is of their own doing

RE: France not for the French this day and age. Not safe ANYWHERE
France is as safe as anywhere else these days. There was a shooting at the Houston Livestock Rodeo two days ago.

I have lots of French friends. One is a very nice couple that lives three buildings over from the Cambodian Restaurant attacked a year ago. They're not scared of life. Neither are the other Parisians I know.

I think that the people who tend to be the most afraid are the people that are the least likely to travel or live in the supposedly target areas. Europe is probably safer than the USA. I'll be in Marseilles and Nice in June. No fear here.

Can someone please let me know the 'no go' areas in Paris? BTW, the Gay neighborhood in Paris is also the Jewish neighborhood.

Do you know the details of the Bataclan attack? If not, I'll spare you, but attempting to equate "a shooting" to it or Nice (Bastille Day) is ridiculous.

I'm sure you'll be fine, but your fearlessness and disbelief that anything could happen won't make it so.

That's just great.

60% of the people that live there "don't feel safe anywhere", but you know a nice couple.

Well, clearly that settles it...

Seems the French have effectively been conquered yet again, this time with barely a shot fired.

The whole worlds gone mad.

Asia is for Asians.

Africa is for Africans.

The Middle East is for the Middle Easterners.

I'm quite aware of it. My 'go to' (consistently best value for money in Paris) hotel in Paris is 1000ft away from it. Walked home by myself dozens of times at night and alone (sometimes a bit tipsy and usually after 2am). Two of my best friends live on the same street as Le Petit Cambodge and were there when it happened. They aren't living in fear and neither am I.

Dead is dead. I see no difference in getting killed as a result of lax gun laws or being shot/bombed by a terrorist.

I don't know the point of living ones life in fear but apparently many do live that way. But not living in fear and being an apologetic leftist imbecile are two different things.

Not apologizing for anything. As far as I can tell, your information regarding France is based upon either 'thin air' or from the views of others with axes to grind.

And your information is anecdotal.

Must be a whole lot of people in Europe that have the same experience that I do.

By the way, those voting for the anti-Islam parties generally tend to be those that are the furthest removed from Muslim populations (not anecdotal). Pegida's biggest support doesn't come from white Germans living in Kruezburg, but those living in the East, which has a much lower Muslim population. Le Pen? That would be rural areas with a far lower Muslim percentage. How about UKIP? Old Boston and Cornwall. Wilders? Limburg (less than 1 percent is Muslim). Hungary has very few Muslims.

Seems to me that those that actually interact with Muslims have come to much of the same conclusion as I have. And most of the attacks have come after urban Europeans too, not in the Islamaphobic voting areas.

And if not from personal experience, where do you get your information from? Pam Geller? Steve Bannon? Jim Hoff? Orly Taitz? Alex Jones?

I've never heard of Hoff or Taitz, but if they're as good as Bannon or Jones, I'll definitely have to check them out. Thanks.

I can't believe we're to the point where it's the LGBT community that is defending radical Islam. 45% of American Muslims disapprove of your/their lifestyle. 52% of British Muslims believe it should be illegal. How that would be enforced is beyond me, but perhaps you could enlighten us. Those are also the supposed peaceful Westerners, we all know what is still going on in Africa and the Middle East.

The right needs to learn that not all Muslims are radicals. The left needs to understand that some are. Both sides need to learn that our insistence that they modernize and westernize is what drives moderate Muslims toward radicalism.

And Donald Trump just appointed a person from a group that advocates criminalizing being Gay to the UN Womens Conference. And his AG is a supporter of criminalization too.

The people that have the greatest opportunity to harm the LGBT community....are in my country...and in the Executive Branch

What's the difference?

Not a single person on the right thinks they all are. No learning needed.

So by that logic we should keep them the hell away from Western cultures.

Incompatible.
