Remind me again.....who was hiding behind ski masks in this instance??? Oh, that's right. The chicken sheeet football players. Yep.

Well, at least that explains why they players would retaliate wearing ski masks. I'm sure their intentions were honorable. 07-coffee3

Ski masks, people. SKI MASKS! HELLO!! Some of you people need to stick to posting about sports.

Did I say anything about the ski masks or justify the actions of the players. The answer to that is no. I guess in the midst of you posting numerous posts in a row bashing posters and the team, you should learn some reading comprehension or stick to posting about things you actually have a clue about.

These players involved were freshman players this past season. I am sure their thinking in wearing the masks was that they didn't want to be identified. But that is just stupid reasoning and a little chicken s*** in my opinion. Especially since everyone with knowledge of the situation knows exactly who it was.

All I was meaning in my initial post is Pike trying to play the victim is laughable since they started the whole mess. That is why no criminal charges have been filed. If Pike files charges they will have charges filed on them and they can't afford that. Both parties should be punished. The ring leader for football needs to be shown the door and the Pike's who were one incident away from suspension by the university need to be suspended. Put this whole mess to bed and set an example.

My Pi Kapp chapter at MT was nowhere near the biggest, the best, the coolest, the richest etc. at MT, none of us with houses off the row were, but we also weren't the worst, smallest, etc.

I've seen Pi Kapp chapters similar to mine, I've seen well run, poorly run, chapters more than double ours in size and chapters half ours in size. Chapters I could have easily been a part of and others I'd want nothing to do with.

All that being said, Pike along with one or two others seem to be the most consistently similar in both my experience as well as reputation.

The roids and other things being described at Western, Tech, and USM were definitely true of Pike at MT when I was there.
Only bottom tier chapter talk about being mid tier.

Just as a friendly reminder, the profanity filter is in place for a reason.

That means if you want to use expletives, ******* use them.

Do not use the first letter of the word followed by pound signs, asterisks, etc. If you can't make your point without trying to circumnavigate the profanity filter, maybe just don't post at all.

I was never a big fan of the pikes at Tech, but I got along with some of them. Also got along with some at other campuses. Just like all fraternities in my opinion, some genuinely good dudes and a large heap of frat bros.

I assume this was directed at me. I always type that way anywhere on a message board. Some have profanity filters and some don't. It is strictly habit, not trying to circumnavigate anything. I would think there are other things to worry about then a single letter being included. But that is just me.

Not directed at you, the offending posts have been unapproved.

The occasional usage of such things is not a problem, it's really only when it's an angry rant filled with multiple offenses from someone with a history of doing such things that I feel the need to say something.

I'm going to take the opposite view than some of you and it being Western, Middle, Marshall, UNT, players involved... would not matter to me. If this was a fist fight and they were reacting to a teammate getting jumped .....

the most these players should do is to run the steps till they puke.

Fights happen! Did back in the 60s when I was a small kid, did in the 70s as I went through my teens and it did in the 80s and 90s and I assume even from then to today...

when it comes to competitive people and protecting your family. Family is not always your blood.

So if a teammate was suckered punched then jumped by a group of people I would be more pissed off if some of his family did not go settle the score. I'm not talking guns or weapons...fist. Till you hit your late 20s that's the mindset, at least it was when I was growing up. When you are that age you make decisions that we wouldn't later in life. More piss and vinegar running through you.

Some of you got old and turned into______ or maybe you always were. Competitive people do things different than the weak ass people. And getting revenge for a teammate the only thing those players did wrong... they covered their face. Should have walked up to them and said...

you screw with my family..you screw with us all

Again as long as it was just fist if I was coach I would as the grownup...be pissed on the outside. Because that is what the responsible grownup that is in charge of the team should be. But on the inside I would be thinking...protect your family. That is what a football team should be. Family. Now, don't do that again and hit the steps, don't stop till you puke. Then do it again the next day for wearing a freaking mask.

Kids fight. Teens fight. 20 year olds fight. 30 year odls and up fight when they get drunk. Other wise they probably have a job and family to think of.

The whole teens fight and protect your "family"thing is nice and all, but if they had reported the first incident, then the Pikes would be facing charges, instead of the players and we're not having this discussion. With age comes wisdom.

You insinuate that there was a football player jumped by some guys from PIKE.

According to their lawyer, they tried to report it and nothing was done about it.

http://www.wbko.com/content/sports/WKU-F...11794.html

The article Wrote:Lowder said the previous night two WKU football players were assaulted at the PIKE house – one was repeatedly called racial slurs – and those two players later encountered a WKU police officer who did not further investigate that incident, provoking the Western Kentucky players to take matters into their own hands.
