Huh? Dawkins is in year 1. Lebo is going on year 8.

ECU should be lightyears ahead of UCF at this point given all of the time you've invested in the regime.

The RPIs are significantly different for a reason. UCF has beaten good teams with a very short bench (which was even shorter while BJ Taylor was out).

ECU has beaten nobody.

Irrelevant. Most agree Lebo should go. No one is arguing that but you keep bringing it up. Year 1 vs Year 8 means nothing. No one knows whether Dawkins will continue up, stay the same or tank. This year is all that matters when comparing this year's teams. Forget RPI. Two good wins. Head to head with ECU shows that both programs are mediocre. That is undeniable.

Admire your homerism for UCF and loathe your hard-on for driving ECU into the ground.

Hopefully ECU fans will take this feeling after beating a bad UConn team and realize what it can be like if they hire a competent staff that will actually challenge tournament teams.

Lately it seems like losing so much has caused ambivalence.

The same staff that backed into a win tonight also caused that ambivalence by losing.

You seem to think fans make the decisions? 03-lmfao

Just sayin.

You guys have been starved for so long, you get a plain ol cracker and your eyes get big - like its Thanksgiving.

The UConn home win tonight ONLY looks decent because ECU has been terrible under Lebo.

So why the urge to crush the only cracker we've seen in awhile? Are you bent on kicking people when they see the smallest ray of sunshine? You sure are an a$$.

Ask any basketball journalist (Rothstein, Parrish, etc) on twitter if the programs are on the same level.

I don't think they will agree with you either.

Because I've been there.

After Houston beat SMU (who I believe was ranked at the time) in the conference tourney in 2014, I wasn't encouraged. I saw it for what it was and wanted the Dickey regime to end.

ECU wasn't any more impressive than we were. It's not a ray of sunshine. It wasn't for us either.

Oh, I have no doubt they would feel both are on the same level. They might feel trajectories are different but we're back to guessing about the future. How about the current team this year...this season? How many times do I have to keep you on track? Lol.

I really wish that ECU beat the UConn that developed their reputation.

But, have your fun.

James Dickey at Houston beat the UConn team that went on to win the National title during the same year he was fired.

You just gave me hope for my wish to come true.

It is not your job to teach us anything. Nor does your effort end up accomplishing your goal.

By the way, you are completely wrong. Houston and ECU winning were both rays of sunshine. Fans can and should enjoy those. It in no way means that the clouds won't come back. Only idiots think that. Even bigger idiots are hell bent on keeping the other idiots from chasing the rays in an effort to control behavior.

With a short bench this year (with their PG out for much of the year), UCF has actually turned heads. Tacko's development under Dawkins has actually been impressive.

UCF has a winning record. ECU doesn't and has beaten nobody decent. UCF just beat a Top 20 team.

Baffled by the comparison.

What's ECU's RPI after tonight?

There you go- Bashing the CIT. Jeff Lebo coached ECU and won the 2013 CIT championship. 04-cheers

Let's just see how the tournament transpires.

You're obviously not impressed by actual records, rankings, and RPI.

Lest I remind you that ECU lost to USF. Your lack of signature wins (outside of HBCU schools) suggest that the Pirates are closer to the Bulls, who beat ECU.

It's nice to rub it on BEH. Come on! He was making threads about the program, that we couldn't beat Tulane, that there needs to be a vote of no confidence on Lebo (like we have any say). Where have you been?

Cheers!

You are free to have your fun. Tulane was ECU's only road win this year. I had every right to assume they'd come out on the other side of that nailbiter versus 5 win Tulane.

A three point shot is a miracle shot? My word, those buzzer beaters happen every night across the country. I'm sure if that happened for UCF, Houston or UCONN it would have indicated a team that could execute in the clutch.

It was Weber State though... I just didn't expect Lebo to be able to hang against such a power program in the CIT.

Definitely the high point of his 2 decade career.

Am I detecting sarcasm? There is an ESPN 30 for 30 in this story. Imagine ESPN filming ECU's miracle team on Jeff Lebo's 40th season... 04-cheers

I had every right to assume they'd come out on the other side of that nailbiter.

The game before it, UCF was a hair away from losing to ECU. You were sweating the game I know it...ECU is a little better than you give it credit for being.

Cheers!

UCF isn't at the point in Dawkins tenure to count any road win as a gimme.

There isn't a lot of energy in Minges. These games we're talking about (UCF and UConn) were very sloppy, ugly, games. Those kinds of games often happen on the road, when you have programs that don't have a strong identity established.

True! I wont deny Lebo's miracle buzzer beating prayer answered against Weber State. 04-cheers

04-cheers

Good stuff!! I would watch that!! 04-cheers
