For a 2 day turnaround, nice to see the minutes spread out. 22 pretty effective minutes for Williams. We should be fresh for Mercer. Of course Mercer won by 30 tonight so they should also be fresh.

Worst thing that can happen playing Citadel is to lose; second worst thing is to have someone banged up; third worst is to run hard and wild all night and not have the legs for 45 hours later.

I think we avoided all three. Plenty of playing time spread around.

It's kind of like beating a knuckleball pitcher, though. You get outside your habits and style. They're so atypical that I don't think we gain any valuable experience playing them. You just need to win the game and don't watch the film.

Shameful indeed. Samford just hit a big 3 to send the game into a 4th OT. Crazy game, I hope the Floppers go down. Samford deserves to win this one.

I am guessing it because we dare to point out the team has some major flaws? I guess we aren't big enough cheerleaders for the snowflake, but you know I can't think of anything I have said that I couldn't find a post from 2 or 3 other people (at least) saying the samething.

I kept thinking during the game that this could hurt us in the long run, as the loose play can easily breed bad habits and such are the last things we need against Mercer.

I'm truly mystified. The *only* 2 things in this thread (from me) that I can think of are the "prediction" that we wouldn't score 115, and the comment about Williams going for the record of turnovers in a half. Clearly the latter was satire, and just as clearly the former was just a mirthful comment. But I'm not worried; as I've noted before, I've got a pretty thick skin. But I am puzzled that someone would write such a thing. Just don't see the basis....

Floppers win. I feel bad for Samford, they should have won this one in the 2nd OT.

Nice game. Good defense and a number of players got quality minutes. Of note was that Hanner MP shot 100% from the field (according to the post game show stats).

I thought Forbes was going to lose his mind with Long's attempt to pass off the backboard. If we hadn't been in so much foul trouble he might not have been back into the game. I can't imagine any reason to attempt that unless it is an exhibition game that we are up 30+
