They are loaded and firing on all cylinders. If we play our game and they play theirs they win.

I think we either need someone else to knock them off or just hope we catch them on an off night.

It's possible but not likely and that's if no one else knocks us off first.

We've always struggled in Birmingham.

2 of only 3 losses they've had all year. They haven't lost a game since Dec. 21st.

We've lost two of our last 4 games against an ok team and an awful team and beat one below average team and one terrible team.

Well see exactly how close we are to mtsu when we play there next week.

I agree that Middle Tennessee is the best of the bunch by a decent margin. Put them in Birmingham with an off shooting night and you never know what could happen.

We'd be closer to mtsu if you take coaching off the table. On a street court with no coaches and self reffing we could have a top 50 team.

Any streetball team would get wrecked by organized baketball.....but, yeah, Baker, Porter, Taylor seem like streetball legends. Our fastbreak and running and gunning would tear it up.

They aren't invincible but they are over 100 rpi spots better than we are.

It's their conference to lose.

I know we keep pushing this timeline off, but in 2 years, I cannot imagine how good we will be.

I think someone mentioned this yesterday, but BJ started the season 19-19 from the foul line. He's 11 for his last 20. Yuck.

Caver, on the other hand, since the beginning of 2017 is 33/40, or 82.5% from the line.

I did. Regression to the mean, but the frustrating part is they all seem to be front end of 1 and 1s and/or clutch freebies.

Next year we should be an NCAA team. The year after that with four VERY good Seniors in our lineup, we should be Top 25 and a potential Sweet 16 favorite.

If you heard the postgame radio interview, BJ sad he's frustrated by his recent FT shooting slump, but I was encouraged to hear him also say that he and his dad would be in the gym later last night working on it. "If you want to find me, that's where I'll be," he said. I'm sure it's not the first time these guys have practiced following a game.

And another interesting tidbit, from the much-maligned Jones on how he handled Talley when he pulled him out in the second half. "I told him that he's been our best offensive player the last six games and that we needed him to take that role down the stretch."

And, asked about what he said during a timeout with 6 minutes to go: "I told them I'm not too proud to beg them to play better defense than we had been," to which Ted or Dave began singing "Ain't too proud to beg"

The interviews were refreshing.
