Mattis not holding back either..
I didn't see this one in the big media
But according to IJR
One day in .. and he ordered 31 strikes on ISIS targets?!?
Quote:The Pentagon issued a news release that reported 25 strikes in Syria and six in Iraq, many including multiple “engagements” for a total of 55 hits. Using four types of aircraft — attack, bomber, fighter and drone – the U.S. attacked tactical units and equipment throughout the day.
Among the destruction highlights: nine fighting positions, numerous tactical units, two tunnels, a bomb factory, a headquarters building, two oil wells, two weapons caches, many vehicles (including several tanks and a semitractor-trailer) and a command module node.

Yes it was. On his way out the door, Obama ordered air strikes and even used the B2 bomber.
Not sure but I think that's pretty rare.

Obama's covert drone war in numbers: ten times more strikes than Bush

If you are anti-war/anti foreign intervention Obama was as bad if not worse than Bush. His secret drone war is shameful and he and Hillary ruined Libya for generations.

Yep they should be ashamed of themselves for the way they covered it, but of course they aren't. This is a big reason Hillary lost the base, she's a hawk. She's all but a neoconservative on foreign policy. She's supported every war of my lifetime, and the media on the whole gave her a complete pass for it. It's shameful from the supposed "anti war" party.

I honestly don't know. But I do know that Obama did nothing to end the wars there. Maybe they could not be ended, maybe that's how bad Bush screwed the pooch.
But let's not get our knickers in a twist over one weeks of offensive action which in no substantial way differs from Obama's actions.

Obama ended both wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I thought that is what you were bitching about.

Obama turned the war in Iraq into ISIS and Stan is back on it's way to being ruled by the Taliban.

Obama knew exactly where this crap was He was just too timid to do anything about it. Remember We are at war with ISIS, Not Iraq, Afghanistan or Syria. This is what the US does best. Take out the bad guys that cause deadly harm to others when given a greenlight to do it.

Yep! I had to go to google.com and type in "Obama drone strikes on ISIS" to find it.
I need a nap now.
Quote:in 2016 alone, the Obama administration dropped at least 26,171 bombs. This means that every day last year, the US military blasted combatants or civilians overseas with 72 bombs; that’s three bombs every hour, 24 hours a day.
America dropped 26,171 bombs in 2016. What a bloody end to Obama's reign
Psst....what happened on the 1st day under Mattis has been happening all along for quite some time now. And if you bother, you'll find that these things are not approved at the Secretary of Defense level anyway. So Mattis had really nothing to do with this.
