Pretty sure they would cover everything with UC signs.

I've been to BB@T probably 5 or so times. It is a first class arena and getting to it and parking are fantastic. I don't think anyone would be disappointed plus, UC would likely pack the place. Hell I bet a whole lot of NKU students would be there also. They have a ton more students living on campus than when most of you were probably in college.

Only thing I'm wondering is the floor. Knowing the install time for that, I highly doubt they'd be able to switch out unless they block schedule games between the two schools. That would look very odd on TV, but in all honesty, of all the options this is by far the most fan-friendly.

You can probably flip the floor in 3-4 hours. It really doesn't take that much time and manpower. The floors today interlock and pull apart like lego's. They then stack them on a pallet and drive them away to the storage area. MSG does it almost every day.

Thanks for the info and that is good news. My preference would still be to play downtown. UC needs to own this city and playing downtown feels more like owning the city. Plus, I like the pregame and post game options.

I would agree if US Bank were even 1/10th of the arena that BB&T is. That place sucks. I honestly can't believe it still hosts so many big concerts throughout the year.

Would've been fun to go downtown but the arena is awful for basketball. Less to do and longer drive but definitely a better basketball experience.

The Clipper and the Lakers play on the same floor and they make it work.

True, but their floors aren't painted in like ours is...although they may just pull it during the renovation.

I was about to say they don't have women's teams but I forgot they also have NHL hockey there as well.

Dare I say that BB&T is everything that New Fifth Third Arena should aspire to be as far as what kind of events it should strive to pull in?

Been there several times. Very nice arena with pretty comfy seats. Definitely will take in a couple games there.

What do you mean by painted in? And it gets pulled every summer, so no reason not to pull it during the renovation.

Definitely good for me, as it is only 5-10 from my house. Getting season tix is a no brainer now. They need to take it as an opportunity to get more NKY fans.

I'm surprised they didn't try to split the games with USBA. Would have been cool to have some games down there too.

Yeah, I messed up. I remember the floor under the floor while I was walking through the gym to workouts and completely forgot that that's not the played on court.

Finishing masters from NKU this year, why'd they have to push it back a year!? missed it by a year.

Nice arena, will work out well i think, will be much better than that dark dump on the river

Good move - I've attended a bunch of NKU games and the arena is very nice. 100000x better than US Bank Arena.

One thing I would like to see - after UC moves back on-campus, the two schools get together for a long-term series. UC plays the first game of the series AT NKU as a "thank you" to the University. The Norse then come north of the river in later years. Those games would be much more interesting than the series of MEAC, Southland and NEC teams that Cincinnati tends to play every December.

its the right move for a multitude of reasons. This was set to be announced a long time ago. Surprised it is just happening.

Great way to set the stage for a return to the new 5th/3rd in November 2018 which should be, qualitatively, among the top 5% of collegiate venues in the nation. The future looks (very) bright.

If it truly looks like this team is set up to have a very good year next year, It would be nice if they did it in a in a 17K seat arena in the heart of downtown and invigorating the entire city with a exciting season.

But I'm not against BB&T arena. It's definitely nicer than USBA. I probably won't go to any of the week night games. Traveling to NKY from Butler Cty is a haul, but I'm just one man.

I'm just glad it won't be at Cintas.
