More than just the Berlin Wall was defaced apparently. On artwork near the Moody Center which read "TRUMP BABY!" and "DeportSpanos." I assume the Deport Spanos part is in reference to Pol Spanos, a Rice professor, unless there are some die-hard San Diego Charger fans around here.

Agreed. There's been a lot of that since the election. Like all the KKK graffiti.

Almost certainly not an intentional "false flag."

Apparently more graffiti was found around campus that touched on the San Diego Charges (Spanos now likely refers to the owner) and rice related tags (HFH).

Sounds more like it was just a bunch of turds trying to get attention.

I don't think we can assume the perpetrator was a true Trump supporter, nor do I think we can assume it was a liberal/Democrat/Hillary supporter. If we're not going to assume the former, then it makes no sense to assume the latter. I agree with RiceLad that it's probably just someone looking for attention, and the name "Trump" is such a lightning rod right now, so it was chosen as low-hanging fruit. I assume it less a political statement (from either left or right) and more of a statement of general lawlessness/anarchy.

Yep. Whether Trump supporters, Snowflakes, or just hooligans, their time at Rice should be ended. President Leebron needs to make a strong statement here, and expel these students. I'll be interested to hear the details of who committed the crime, what their motives were, and how this plays out punishment-wise.
