36 darn good minutes that you're happy about.

The last 4, and especially the last 2, were amazingly bad.

80 free throws attempted. I hate these type of games.

A win is a win but I'm not sure Monty can blame anyone but himself at this point. They've never been good at closing games out under Monty. The offense goes into a shell, they stop rebounding and start fouling. And generally they have had bad late game FT shooting.

Yeah, and not being able to inbound the ball with your starters in the game, that's just bad.

Yes, and it was a very impressive win until the last few minutes.

Huskies leading by 11-17 for much of the game was impressive! Last four minutes is on players. Those that say NIU cant play offense or don't run anything, 87 Pts and four double figure scorers says differently. Marshawn Wilson must be suspended?

I try not to be too negative for the most part but that game the other night at Miami made my eyes hurt.

Last night I watched some of the Ohio vs KSU game. Looked like a different sport compared to NIU/Miami.

Oh, and Ohio is REALLLY good.

What an awful game.

I was/am very disappointed with the coaching. The end of today's game felt like I was watching one of Rob Judson's greatest hits. Completely disheartening.

I didn't watch the Miami game and it sounds like that was a nightmare. I watched this game pretty passively (was streaming on my laptop with other stuff on the TV) but it did nothing to change my mind on the team's direction. I'm glad they won but from what I've seen this team will be lucky to make it to Cleveland for one game before heading home.

I never saw the Wilson attitude problem coming Porter yeah that one was easy to see from day one last year, but I can only imagine a coaches decision means there was another episode. NIU was up by 17pts with three minutes to go. They won the game but were sloppy finishing it off. That being said, I will take every remaining game going just like this one! After two conferences games only three teams are 2-0. They are back in the race.

Wilson has been the overwhelming most dissapointing player this year. Playing in front of his home fans in Minnesota he played well and was hustling. This tells me that he isn't giving his all in other games. I don't know if he will be around next year. Seems to be pouting that he isnt starting. I see zero intensity from him. He averaged 11pts last year! Imagine if the Huskies were getting close to that from him this year.

And none of those 3 undefeateds have won on the road yet. I think Akron will get exposed somewhat on the road.

Today was my 1st NIU bball game. A good # of seats were filled but it was very quiet. The video boards are so bad and outdated. Love the court though. As far as the team goes, Maric should touch the ball a lot more. They don't seem to have many good outside shooters. They did a great job on Keane who is/was averaging the most points per game in the nation.

Chronicle was wrong. Radio had him suspended
for one game for a team rules thing.
