I
didn't say that. I said that would be the best case scenario.

Well, the stadium is new-ish. Opened in 2009. It is pretty nice, if a little undersized compared to Iowa and Wisconsin. But it's right sized for Minnesota crowds.
The new thing is the athlete's village, all new practice facilities. That will be a huge selling point for recruits.
But anyway, the thing that I want to keep reminding people is just how bad Wisconsin was before Barry got there. And look at them today. So ... just saying, and will keep saying, if folks can win football games at Wisconsin, they can do it at Minnesota.

Huh? Purdue is in the West.

He can say anything he wants, if he wins. Brewster's shtick got real old, real fast, when he couldn't deliver.
He was, and is, a career Tight Ends coach. Apparently, he could recruit players with "high stars" to Texas. Or so we were told. I don't think that works in Minnesota. At least not past the first fall, once it turns cold and the player's saying to himself "it's zero degrees and I'm a thousand miles from home ... what am I doing?!"

Here's the problem with Illinois and Purdue: they're out in the middle of nowhere, and they're male dominated. Agriculture + math/science/engineering nerds, and no med school (Illinois's public med school is at UI Chicago). So, not as many females.
Can't be a popular place with football players.
On the other hand, Minn is literally right across the river from downtown Mpls. Now, that may actually be too much of a good thing ... but just saying,
