UC only won 96-58. It was a real nail-biter. Good call!

Texas Southern is dangerous if you are not very good. They play something like their first 16 games on the road and did beat Rice, Lasalle, and JMU in consecutive games. UC pounded them, no big deal, but they will have a decent RPI at the end of the season. Sucks that these teams need to do this just to fund their programs. Just another BS reason why college sports is not so collegiate any more.

As it turned out, they could have been Temple refs and it wouldn't have made much difference.

It is a good point, but, what are there about 500 D-1 basketball teams (I'm exaggerating)? They don't have to schedule like they are doing. They also don't have to be D-1. But every school wants to be D-1 in basketball at least even if they are a small school with limited resources. It's the easiest sport to be D-1 in with the most potential.

Holy Hell! They start with 13 straight road OOC games and then the SWAC decided to give them 3 straight road conference games to start. That's right 16 straight road games! Ten weeks of away games. BRUTAL.

I only aske because numerous UC fans were complaining about Big East Refs after getting beat at Butler.

Temple wasn't winning this game no matter the refs. I just want to make that clear. But the calls were going in Nova's favor pretty obviously. I'm not saying fixed or anything like that. Nova deserved to win but the refs seemed a little caught up in the home crowd, or respect for the #1 team, or they just had an off night as human beings. Whatever the case it didn't feel fair.
