...absolutely...Doc is a Great Coach but just look at what he is handcuffed with...Next year should be a pretty good year for us....Doc needs to stay with us long term, I believe he will be the First Coach to get us our First NCAA tournament Win....Love Me some Doc ball!

Doc called exactly zero plays for the first 30 minutes, wanted to let the kids figure the offensive end out on their own, which is what most coaches do early. Lots of new faces, Juco walk ons being major contributors. We only have 10 scholarship players. Played with 7 of them most of the night.

Yes it's year 3, but coming off the sanctions, its more like year one. Last night was not encouraging, but it was an exhibition, with all of the factors listed above playing a role. Every single year a big name gets beat or almost beat by a D-2 or NAIA team. It happens. Chill.

We are better than last year in my opinion. I think we win 12-15 games. If we win less than 10 again, call for Sadler's head all you want. But basing off an exhibition without our best player is dumb. And yes, it's still Tyndall's fault. He is the sole reason why we only have 10 scholarship players. And why several left because of the NCAA trouble.

...what tyndall did to basketball was even more destructive than what HWNSNBS did to football.

dumbest thing ive ever read

Actually most of the conference is in decent shape, with the exceptions of FIU, FAU, N. Texas, UTSA and USM. And don't get me started on FAU, FIU and UTSA, none of the three have any vested interest in having a decent basketball program.

As for UAB, WKU, MTSU, Charlotte, Marshall, LA Tech, ODU, Rice and UTEP. Those schools are in decent shape, they now just have to go out and beat the schools they should and have a few upsets in contests they should be dogs in.

As far as Sadler goes USM was lucky to have someone with knowledge come into the program while it was getting hammer with violations. I don't think it will be this year but I think you will start to see a vast improvement in 17-18.

Glad to hear this. How many are in the top 25? Thanks in advance.

it's widely known couscous is behind the 8-ball when any preseason poll opens....this isn't Rice baseball....

if you're not in the northeast or a flagship school, it's pointless to think biased polling before games are played means anything...

winning games seems to be a pretty fair indicator how talented the players/staff are....

our biggest problem after this year (when the transfers become eligible) will be what it's always been....

That's 3 (THREE) years in a row Doc has lost to Jackson State. Keep fluffing, dreamers.

I have taken up for him because he is our coach, but it is getting very hard to swallow after our third loss in a row to bad JSU teams. By the way, why are we playing them on the road?

We did not want them to have a home field advantage since Reed Green is just as run down as most of Jackson and makes them feel at home!

RE: To all the Doc Sadler defenders
Doc Sadler can fairly be evaluated NEXT season, not before. My initial impression is that he is a pretty fair coach but may not be a very energetic recruiter . Hopefully someone on his staff can help in the recruiting area. I am not a big fan nor detractor of his. Reality is that he is without our starting point guard and was without Tim Rowe against J State. Most of you live in reality, unfortunately some do not.

1-3 versus the 330th toughest schedule in the nation.

The thing about Doc is, he's good, but he's a 6/10 at observational humor and a 7/10 (at best) at slapstick. Is it enough to provoke a chuckle in a job interview with an old buddy? Probably. But the world of comedy has changed. Dave Chapelle isn't bitching about airline food. Key & Peele are asking the audience "did you ever notice?". Louis CK isn't doing pratfalls. This isn't 1990, Lite-Brite isn't a thing anymore, and scale models don't put food on the table.

We are #344. Below Bethune-Cookman (among 343 others), but ahead of Longwood at least.
Its not Doc's fault though. DT won 27 games his last season here but its gotta be his fault, right? Billy Mc came down on us harder than the NCAA. DT's fault though. Doc is The Man! ******* idiots. lol

It's not like Joker is running against Petty and Yarbrough, he's certainly driving a beater but I don't think JSU and Tougaloo are circling The Hood in Cadillac convertibles either.
