When we found out, refs said too much time passed and we finished regulation tied. Left no doubt in this one. Proud of the effort, especially after the early season adversity.

I hope you guys enjoyed the last game you will play against Texas for a long time.

Surprised we got it this year after last, where we threatened their tourney team. I was not wanting to play, honestly. I was tired of getting $100,000+ for their refs. They seemed to not make a difference one way or another tonight. No real players in foul trouble either way and a balance of foul calls for both sides. Wonder if the spotlight from last year's game was bright.

Texas may or may not play again. We are good for the RPI. Replace us with a UTSA and a win still hurts their RPI. And in the end, we aren't in Arkansas and dealing with the stuff you guys have to with your politics and such. One of the nice things about being in a state with 20+ DI institutions, many of which are in their same system.

The pig fans will look at this and go see that's why we don't play. Texas fans will wake up and forget it even happened.

Must be nice to have real competition in your state.

funny how a crowd of 9800 or so looks like just a smattering of folks in that arena. good to see the 5-600 or so uta fans that made the trip. the mavs look well coached. going to be hard to keep coach cross for the amount of pay he gets..he'd be a cheap upgrade for a lot of schools

Last home game for AState for over a month today, will spend the entire month of December on the road. Cleveland State is tonight's opponent.

Jags easily beat Southern Miss 78-55 and improve to 6-1 on the year. Still too early for me to get too excited, but we look like we're starting to turn things around a bit.

I'm going off the top of my head but I think MTSU is 7-1 or 6-1 and just beat Ole Miss. We play them on Saturday. MTSU has our basketball number like no other team, but it would be a nice win if the Jags are able to beat the Blue Raiders.

AState beat Cleveland by basically the same margin Kentucky did.

Things get tougher Saturday. Game at 7-0 TCU.

You know how much I'd forgive you for all state transgressions if you beat TCU?

They are beatable. Undefeated, but outside of beating an average Washington team twice, their best win was a narrow win at UNLV.

Still, as with any P5 team, they present matchup issues for us.
