I totally disagree on Frank Wilson for COY. UTSA has been far too inconsistent late in the season.
It should be a 4 way race in order of likelihood:
1. Littrell - If UNT finishes the job against UTEP.
2. Wilder
3. Holtz or Brohm - Whichever wins the championship.

I just want to win the championship. They can give the CoY, PoY, MVP to whoever they want.

I don't know if they still do but the media and coaches used to both award separate COTY honors. I know in 2014 the media voted Clark and the coaches voted Doc.

To all the ODU fans who keep saying Wilder has placed the Monarchs in a tie for 1st or 2nd or however you look at it. Uh no he hasn't. Because with the tie breakers we have in this conference there is no tie for 1st or 2nd. Barring WKU losing this weekend you guys will finish 3rd in CUSA and 2nd in the east division. Which is good, don't get me wrong, you exceeded expectations this season. I personally am fine if Wilder or coaches from UNT, La Tech, or WKU win coach of the year. But like I said...unless WKU loses on Saturday, you did not finish in 2nd place.

Same here! Win the championship and the smaller awards typically fall into place.

Technically the tie-breaker only determines who goes to the championship game. If they win they are co-champs of the east. Doubt many teams would claim it though.

LOL, in actuality, it really doesn't matter if they finish tied for 1st or 2nd or 3rd....but, if they win, they TIE for first, which is why you need TIEBREAKERS. If there wasn't a tie for first, a tiebreaker would not be needed.

I have no issue with Littrell over Wilson, but citing inconsistent play by UTSA as a reason for eliminating Wilson makes no sense because we've been no more inconsistent than UNT has been in the second half of the season.
UNT beat a solid Army team, convincingly so, and then lost to us by 14, you guys by 21, and WKU by 38, before winning again against Southern Miss. How is that not inconsistent? So if you're gonna go with Littrell, do it on the change in record between last season and this season.

ODU has not gotten any respect since we got to C-USA. Terribly run conference with no direction, the commissioner is clueless and La Tech fans are the most bias ridiculous fans out there. La Tech is ODU's b****.

But the point of a tie breaker is to break what would be a tie. So in actuality they are not staying tied since the tie is being broken lol.

Considering who he lost to graduation, I'd say it's Holtz, with Wilder #2. JMO

You're right the point of tiebreaker rules is that there are no ties. I think they might need to start offering reading comprehension 101 and English grammar 101 at ODU.

This all falls squarely under the category of who the F... cares ? When you can't deny the stunning success of ODU, you nit pick. Very small minded.

No, the point of the tiebreaker is to pick who goes to the championship game if there is a tie (which there would be). If there was no championship game, they would finish the year as tied for 1st. This isn't rocket science.

lol - we are lucky that ODU hasn't won anything yet. Can't imagine what would happen when they actually win championships.
Until you are in the championship, stop running around crying for respect. You haven't earned it yet.

No reason to "cry for respect." We already proved we could compete in the CUSA from day 1 despite people not thinking it was possible. We beat the two best teams in the west in the first year and finished 1st or 2nd in the East division in year 3. (after being picked 6) We don't need to cry for respect because we earned it by blowing out the other teams on our schedule. (besides WKY, LOL)

My knock on UTSA's consistency are the UTEP and Rice games. How they do against Charlotte will be big, as well. It's also just from watching 4+ UTSA games. They seem be very Jekyl and Hyde.
EDIT: I don't begrudge the three UNT losses you mentioned: They were and should have been overmatched for what they are.
I agree with the rest of what you say.

I'm not sure any of that proves inconsistency.
LaTech and WKU are a step above everyone else in CUSA.
We won the Army game because we were +6 in turnovers, we lost the UTSA game because we were -4 in turnovers. Reverse the turnover +/- in each of those games and you reverse the outcome.
I think that if we beat UTEP Littrell deserves the honor because he took a 1-11 team (that lost by 59 to an FCS) and got them to bowl eligibility the next year. However I can see why other schools might think there coach deserves it too.
