RE: It's that time again...Rank 'Em
Are we really obligated to rank Navy ahead of Houston just because Navy won the division? If, so then what is the point of asking for rankings. You should put Temple and USFahead of Houston as well since they are winning the East.

My rankings are

1. Houston
Big drop off
2. Navy
3. Tulsa
4. Temple
5. South Florida
6. Memphis
7. SMU
The rest are unranked

No disrespect to Navy and Temple.

Navy is also playing better than anyone else. Since losing to Air Force, they've had one bad quarter but otherwise haven't missed a beat. That and the fact they beat UH was my tiebreaker because otherwise, who else couldn't put Houston up there at the top spot after Thursday? If UH and Navy lined up and played, I'm not sure UH would win. I think they'd split 10 meetings.

1. Houston - nobody in the country has 2 Top 5 wins
2. USF - has one conference loss and best offense in the league
2. Temple - no worriesTemple fans, if you win next week you will get your due
4. Navy - see Temple; one more week and these dumb rank'ems becomes irrelevant
5. Tulsa - most underrated G5 team right now
6. Memphis - going to be a handful next year if they can get defense; see USF
7. SMU - Hicks is a gamer...getting bowl eligible would be a nic story
8. UCF - defense is good...but wasn't offense Frosty's specialty? Where are the fans?
9. ECU - USF fans chanting, "please help us ECU, you are our only hope!"
10. Tulane - lots of work to do
11. UCONN - head coach change seems due...
12. UC - feel bad for another fellow BigEast refugee for having to pay for all those renovations to watch your program get SkipHoltz'd. Been there, done that and it doesn't get better for a couple year.

Head to head does matter and part of the greater body of work.

Houston has the best OOC wins in the country, nvm the AAC.

However, it has been average in conference play with lots of close games and two actual losses. I agree UH has the best team...but it makes no sense to rank Navy over USF. It wasn't a fluke win...as USF has only one conference loss.

I'll give you 2. USF jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter then coasted.

Memphis is pretty much a victim of an early bye week and a weird plague of injuries to our defense causing for inconsistent play. Hopefully not the case next season with more depth and hopefully not a week 2 bye lol

LB Bowser (the AACs top player is sacks per game). #3 in tackles for loss per game
LB taylor (the AACs #2 player in sacks per game) #6 in tackles for loss per gme

both didnt play versus navy, a team completely predicated of LB and stopping the option

i completely disagree, if we lined up today and played, theyd both play and im taking houston easily, they beat us by 6 on the first start of 2 new LBs (emeke and hines)..and honestly if you watched the film of that game, our defensive game plan worked, we were getting to them, but will worth was breaking and running through tackles, he isnt running over taylor/bowser the way he ran over adams like 4 times in our game
