Ok, chief. I'm sure SMU has an English dept. You might want to wander over there and have them explain to you what the phrase "as they have always been" actually means.

Houston leads the all-time series 20-11-1; SMU has 4 wins in the last 20 meetings between the two schools.

If you can't see how the "Herman to (-)" rumors or being rebuffed by the Big 12 has affected this team, I can't help you.

It was the second one. Houston is not a good team, they played way over their heads in beating Oklahoma...after that, we saw what they really had... Lost to Navy, Lucky to beat Tulsa. and then got dominated by SMU.

Sorry Cougars, it was a tough week, no invite to Big 12, then get spanked HARD by SMU.

Welcome back to reality...was a good run, but now you go back in the middle of the pack.

SMU will never forget what you tried to do to us with Jenkins...

Karma sucks don't it?

Cheers!

What's the spread on SMU going 1-4 in their final five games coming up?

0-5 even looks doable! That's the "same as it ever was" referred to earlier I think.

5. Houston (6-2)

How was the week in Houston? To quote Ricky Bobby, "Well, let's see. I got mauled by a cougar ... Wait, I am a cougar. ... I got mauled by a Mustang, I didn't get invited to join the Big 12, and my Crystal Gayle shirt is ruined. Other than that, it was great."

The reality is Houston is not as bad SMU is making out. But not as good UH thinks they are either. Houston did get smoked by SMU though you can't overlook that. That will have an impact. For good or bad!

THIS ---> IF SMU/Dallas can somehow sustain or better yet improve their rundown football program than maybe than we may have just found that rivalry we've (Houston SMU/Dallas) been missing here in good ol Texas.

Won't hold my breath... I'm calling it - 50 cents return worth value for now.

Care to fill us in?

I generally don't care for coaches running up the score. I make an exception for the Ponies. I'm happy to run it up and happy to keep the lopsided series lopsided.

Enjoy the win. Savor the win. Then, get ready to go back to getting spanked on a regular basis.

A couple of Tuberville-esque seasons is what got Tony Levine fired from UH. Just sayin'.

Herman is not making it to Christmas in Houston, even if that means taking some **** job like Purdue. Hope you enjoyed your run.

Hell, at least we play Bama. The closest Houston comes to playing Alabama is when 97.1 plays Mountain Music.

Oh, wow. I didn't know you got radio reception in your area. You really must live in a bunker underneath the Louisiana swamp. It would certainly explain your foul attitude towards us "normal people".

Do you at least have running water and air conditioning?

It's a lot harder going through a schedule with a target on your back....

That, and all the Big Xii hoopla I'm sure had an effect on UH.

You think you play Bama. In truth, Bama plays LSU because a 50-25 losing record to Bama says ya'll just happen to show up sometimes.

LSU is Bama's biotch. The guaranteed no lube, no reacharound, pound in the booty rouge.

But if I'm suspecting correctly, you're not even a real LSU fan so I might have wasted a few pixels on you by typing all that.

I want a true rivalry with UH in football and basketball. Perhaps we are both on our way to making both of those prospects a reality. Kelvin Sampson and Chas Morris are trying to do their part
