Sweet and wonderful came at such a price, I barely remember any.

I'm glad Pastner is gone, but this is lazy on 92.9's part IMHO. And giving a pissed-off family member and fired ex-employee a platform to take shots publicly. I get it - makes for great radio ratings in Memphis - but it's a bit pandering and sleazy to me.

So did Frank have beef with Jason? I missed the segment but from some of the posts it sounds like he might have.

Doubt it happens any time soon. More stuff will keep surfacing along the way. If we heard everything at once....

I thought it was pretty "goofy" when josh was getting on and suspending players for use of curse words and then gets rick ross to sing a curse word-filled rap song in the fed ex forum about white prostitutes for sale as well as drug sales of cocaine, crack and heroin. Also, at that time, rick ross was being called out by other rappers due to lyrics in a song about drugging women for sex. I pointed out this double standard on this board and posts got deleted.

I remember your posts. You were trying to make that point, but I had never heard of Ross and didn't know much about him. I was thinking Rapper. Music. Good! It didn't occur to me he would bring a mofo spouting one in to the Forum.

Gotta get your P's and Q's straight there, pally. We need to get to the bottom of the low down, dirty dealing that caused us to be left out of the Big XII even though we had an 18-month old agreement that we were in. On the other hand, stuff done by a guy who was the Tigers' head basketball coach for 7 years is no longer relevant. Try to keep up.

Georgia Tech taking Josh Pastner was like, if Derrick Rose had made one more free throw. It was an incredible long shot. I will always have a warm spot in my heart for Georgia Tech. You have to feel for them. They are so screwed.

Pastner was not the coach for a program of Memphis caliber after the brand and strong program built by Cal. However you feel about him, when he left:
we were sold out, in a position to recruit most top players regardless of location due to our brand and going to a Tiger BB games was the "thing" to do. We didn't advertise or runs specials on tickets. Granted, he left us a short roster but with a great chance to suceeed with the right coach.

Well, coming up on 8 years later, we will be lucky to draw 1/3 of 2010, our roster is chock full of walk ons and NON HIGH D1 players and apathy is as bad as since Tic Price era.

We hired a very good coach (at $3M a year)who has had many good years in a great career but is he ready to take on a monumental player and fan rebuilding job? I'm not convinced he is but hope I'm wrong.

It could be argued that 7 years of irrelevancy and disorganization damaged the brand. It's easy for fans to think of things in terms of historical context, but the nation and recruits have a relatively short frame of reference on which to infer what a given brand means to them personally.

He was our coach last year. It's not like we are in year 3 of a new coach talking about the old coach.

Memphis supports a winner. It's that simple. If Tubby turns it around you'll see sell outs. The fans won't care if the recruits are 5 stars or 2.

A lot of truth to that except for high donor boosters. Turnaround time to get them back on bandwagon is longer.
