The Navy Game: Weather Alert
The weather for the Saturday afternoon game will be windy and cold. 30 mph winds will make it feel like the mid 40's so dress warm. We have 8 of us going to the game. GO Tigers!!!!

30 mph wind? Crap that doesn't help our passing game.

Honestly, I think high winds help us. Their already weak passing game will be even more limited. While, our QB with a much stronger arm, will still be able to make some in roads in the passing game.

Not to mention Jake's strong kicking leg.

Win (or even) in the turnover margin and I like our chances.

We will just have to shorten the passes. We will not throw much over the top, which we like to do, but can still take a few chances here and there to try and keep the defense honest.

Throwing with the wind using our athletes could help.07-coffee3

We do throw a lot of short passes and screens. However, we also take quite a few shots down the field and like to run some deep posts throughout the game. I am just saying instead of 7 or 8 shots down the field, a few of which would normally be over the middle of the field that I expect that number to drop to 3 or 4 all of which are toward the sideline, just enough to keep the defense honest.

Limit the big plays from that option because they are going to hit some. If we can contain that then we should be okay.

Win the turnover battle or at least draw. Can't lose this stat this year, especially with a soggy field and windy conditions.

03-confused 03-confused Not sure where you got your forecast, but Accuweather says it will be partly cloudy and 15 mph winds around 57 degrees at kickoff. Lows overnight will drop into the upper 40's.

Light jacket weather for our crew, I'd say.

About seven us will be guests of Navy alumni and will be enjoying their tailgating party starting around 11 or noon EST! GO TIGERS!! GO!!

RE: The Navy Game: Weather Alert
I am excited to see the US Naval academy and whatever pageantry there is before their home games. I believe this is their homecoming or alumni game, whatever they call it. Hoping I have enough time to tour the museum and the grounds before the game.

As for the game, I don't buy all the triple option is so hard to defend blah blah blah.... if that were the case they'd just beat everyone. I think it comes down to are we big enough up front to stuff the run and do we have the speed behind it to contain. I hope the weather isn't the big equalizer taking away our passing game.
