Exclamation Who's headed to Kalamazoo? Where ya parking?
Got a group of 4 making the trip.

This is our first trip out there so we are trying to find the best place to tailgate. It'd be nice to be around a bunch of NIU fans amidst all the WMU fans. Here's a map of the lots. I'm thinking the lots South East of the stadium or the larger one to the West might be good. Thoughts?

Just got out my maps from two years ago, and looks like we met up in Lot 1. There was a good contingent of Huskie fans there as well. I will be headed up with NIUcoils and HMM in the Huskie Sprinter.

Looks like tailgating starts 4 hours before kick ... 1:30 Central / 2:30 Eastern:

I believe that rule is cut off. I believe it didn't have the added " without cute college girls involved."

I went back in 2012, and most NIU people parked next to the baseball stadium, it was a short walk. That day the tailgate and the bar scene in Kalamazoo was very very bad.

if you go a little past waldo and turn left, there is an uphill road next to a small triangular park that is nice. Plus you can park on the street free. Its a short walk to waldo.

When I went two years ago, we parked on West Lowell (it is uphill).

Apparently if you go to Kzoo to buy tickets, and not thru NIU, you'll only get endzone seats. WMU's calling on NIU to give back the tickets they're not selling, so more than just end-zone may be open if you end up deciding last-minute to buy in Kzoo.

About 5k seats left (not counting ones currently held by NIU), from what I heard.

That's really disappointing, given its the first time WMU is ranked and they have a great shot to beat a team they haven't beaten in forever, I would have expected singles availability by now.

Well, it's not that many for us. Just end-zone seats available. Of course, on Stubhub you can get other ones not in the NIU section.

I expect about 27k there. Our record is around 35k. But against MSU coming into town, they banned buying tickets on the grass which limited us from breaking the record (damn fire marshall Bill).

If they have that open for Homecoming here, we could get around 30k.

I did this 2 years ago and it worked great...however that was the day after Thanksgiving with temps sub 20 degrees with a much colder windchill...rather than Homecoming of a ranked team on an amazing fall day so I would suggest showing up very early to snag one of those free spots.

Huskie Sprinter is going to try and park just south of the baseball stadium if we can get in. We were there two years ago. Plan to be there at 2:30 eastern when tailgating starts. I will post our location if we end up somewhere else

Huskie Sprinter is at lot 102 just south of baseball stadium. Lots open early, $10 to park. Some fans already there. Road crew is getting a pre-tailgate meal at the Roadhouse then will be back for tailgating.
