We tried in many ways to give the game Nicholls, but they just refused to accept it.

Way to pull it out at the end. No need for any of us to act like you should treat it as a "moral loss" win everyone loves to bang the drum over no moral victories around here.

I think the frustrating part is that it shouldn't have been that close. We threw a pick 6, had a FG blocked for a TD, for some reason didn't cover a kickoff and they picked it up in the redzone, allowed 2 kickoffs to be returned to the red zone and we tacked on 3 more interceptions (all in bad locations on the field). The stats are really not that close. We tried to give this game away every way we could think of. I'm very happy for the win though.

This was probably the worst over all game South Alabama has played in a couple of years. Clearly we were more talented but it was a night where the ball would bounce Nicholls way. Luckily the last play was stuffed up the middle and that was after we were called for off-sides on the play before. 2-2 sounds and looks better than 1-3. Hopefully we can show out this weekend for the SBC and get a top 25 win for the Conference.

Guys, we are 2 points from 0-4. We're 2-2. Take it. I predicted a 1-5 start. If we can fix the problems, we can get to a bowl this year. Winning ugly is still winning.

I'm not complaining about being 2-2 when in the preseason it was bleak to win 2 games in our first six contest. Just didn't like the way we played. I expect us to get to a bowl game this year.

Exclamation RE: Jaguars 41, Nicholls 40 in OT
Yes. A win is a win. Please remember that Georgia only beat Nicholls state 26-24 in their Nicholls first game of the year.
