Cue AlwaysSunny coming in to tell us about his "conference ladder" and how all Sun Belt schools should be fighting over an invite to CUSA.

RE: Conference USA is still the worst FBS conference
If we only lose to Houston next week OOC we could seal the fate of CUSA this year barring a disastorous bowl season.
Looking at their schedules only a handful of FCS games left and UMASS is the only gimmee wins left OOC. Same for us this is a big weekend for the Belt.

I see us losing to houston akron unlv and tulame, and maybe western michigan. not really going to be that good a weekend.

Akron and Tulane and unlv offense are improved but I think ULL could beat Tulane, and Appy should dbeat Akron especially after yesterday's game I'm hoping it lights a fire under them. Western and GS should be fun heed GS to cut down on the shenanigans and get back to running the ball. I can see 6-1 next week but more than like 5-2 which is still good for next week. Nothing against TXST but Houston is on another level and are out to prove it. I'm hoping Idaho shows something and beats unlv though.

Love the use of the word "still" here. They think they're the American league or something. Somebody forgot to tell them their powerhouses bolted years ago.
But. But. But... how can that be? Their markets are huge!

Cue any single team that would actually move from an FBS conference TO the Sunbelt. Nvm, you won't find a single one.

Cajuns certainly can beat the green wave. If App can flush away the Miami game from their mind and play up to their potential certainly can beat the Zips but it'll be tough no doubt Akron looked insanely good against Marshall. Broncos have two big 10 scalps on the season and have the homefield advantage that's going to be a tough game for the Eagles
If the Texas state squad that beat Ohio in week 1 shows up against Houston it could be a ball game but if it's the Arkansas squad it'll be a long day for the 'Cats

We'll see what happens when CUSA falls apart in the next wave of realignment and teams have to choose between joining us if we let them, independence, or dropping back down.

It's not worth the exit fee money to move between either league anymore. The very definition of a lateral move.

Texas State, New Mexico State, Idaho and Utah State were all FBS schools that went to the Sun Belt after the inaugural season of FB.

There are a lot of losses by both right now. With how low both are, I see no reason to measure at this time. The real question will be which conference responds and gets back on track. I will hold my judgment until closer to the end of the season. Troy is the best in the Belt at this time and I think a healthy WKU is the best between both conferences, catch is WKU is not healthy hence us struggling this past weekend. I think WKU and Troy are pretty evenly matched right now

Sure. But it's safe to say that I f Right Twix was doing better, I doubt you'd be so hesitant to crow. Said crow doesn't taste too good, does it?

I appreciate where you're going here, but in fairness our "previous" FBS Conference imploded before we landed in the Belt . . . . Not to argue semantics, but it's not quite the same as choosing to leave that conference for The Belt . . .

Ultimately I care about WKU and how WKU does. As long as WKU continues to win..... I will be just fine

When App was in the FCS and SoCon, I never cared about the rest of the teams in the conference, or subdivision for that matter. But in the move up, I've had to adjust that view a little.
