As for "primodona (sic) athletes" - being a professional athlete does not mean giving up your rights to free speech or that you are too ignorant to comment on social issues. As for their "blessings" - history teaches us that it is usually only those that have the money (and thus the power) that can affect change.
You wouldn't assert those things about, say, actors would you? After all, we had one as president for eight years.
Your statement that Kaepernick has no appreciation for this country etc. has no basis in fact if you have read what he has had to say instead of hating him out of hand for his method of protest. He has repeatedly stated his respect for the military and referenced family members and friends who have served. He changed from sitting during the Anthem to kneeling after talking to a veteran at the San Diego Pre-Season game. Again I refer you to #VeteransForKaepernick if you can try to be at all objective over the issue.
This afternoon on "The Rich Eisen (radio) Show," Eisen, who is host on the NFL Network, stated that before he began his NA protests he had been talking about the issues of oppression and police shootings of unarmed Blacks on his Social Media for some time.
But very few were reacting to it until he sat out the NA in uniform (he had been sitting in street clothes for two previous games). Now it is a topic of nation-wide discussion.
Again, people with the courage to try to change what they see as wrong in society often have to do things that make others uncomfortable, knowing that they will draw considerable ire for their actions.
After all - that's the American Way, one of the things the flag symbolizes.

This is what Kaepernick supports.
Please post ANY link quoting Kaepernick saying he supported the driver of the vehicle in this article-incident or even any violent action against police officers.
Otherwise be exposed.

Right - so have the footballs to say that, and don't deflect the real issue with outlandish comparisons and other attacks on the messenger.
Reminds me of the '60s when "patriots" or "good Americans" espoused "America: Love it or leave it!" when people were protesting in favor of the Civil Rights movement and against the Vietnam War.
How about try to change America, for the better?
Protest to affect change doesn't work without making people uncomfortable.
It's that simple to me. I don't love his method but that's just me. I also think his method will backfire.

Similar to the movement to move the marching band to Lot 1.

Right, Kapernick is an American hero. Let's just say that we can agree to disagree. I think the guy is a puke. And I too have the right to express that. Just because there are a few former military folks who share kapernicks lack of insight doesn't mean the military, or veterans in general support him. They don't; and that is an understatement.
There are bad people in every profession. Most police are good, moral and conscientious professionals. What exactly is Kapernick trying to accomplish, beyond bringing attention to himself by insulting the flag and our country? What is the goal here? What do we all need to be aware of that the media hasn't already illustrated? And why does the message, whatever it is, require the insult to the country and flag?

At least it would give Kaepernick a legitimate reason not to stand for the National Anthem.
Think of all the brave men and women who have served America in uniform (military AND police & fire) who sacrificed their own ability to stand so others - like Kaepernick - may express themselves.
Freedom is not free and is not to be taken for granted.
His refusal to stand for the flag has nothing to do with our military. Why do you ignore this?

However, if Joe Stahley stepped aside to allow a defensive tackle to dive at full speed into Kaepernick's knees, I would applaud.
Isn't it interesting how the punishment that knuckle draggers want handed out to Kaepernick never comes to fruition? Starting NFL linemen aren't so immature that they're going to blow a block to teach a teammate a lesson. Pull your head out of you rear.

If you right wing jock sniffers knew anything about Pat Tillman you'd know he'd support any American citizen's right to peaceful protest. You'd also know that he quickly became disillusioned with America's BS war in Iraq.
But you don't know anything, nevertheless anything about Pat Tillman. So stick to comparing an American peacefully protesting to a murderous, racist hate group.
You are despicable.

This is what these overt racists have been reduced to. They hate it when black Americans "act out," so they aim to destroy them via public discourse. You can feel their hate through their words.

Only the out of control, mouth-breathing, mouth-frothing hysterics like you believe he's bringing any sort of "insult" to the country and flag.
Again, I find it absolutely incredible that you serve in a position of public trust. You don't even deserve to jock a cash register at your local court house.
You don't have the integrity, nor the balls, to go public with your hateful opinions. You, unlike Kaepernick, are the true coward.

Get back on your medication. I notice that whenever you know for certain you have nothing of actual substance to say, and no real argument to make, you attack me and my job. You are a mouth without anything ever intelligent to say. I suspect you are one of those idiots who picks fights with people from a distance, or through the internet, because you are too concerned about getting your a$$ kicked if you got too close to the person you are attacking. I would like to see who you really are and what you really do, as you may be exposed at how wholly insignificant you are.
You of course know what I do, and you constantly attack it. My strong suspicion, having dealt with derilicts as a prosecutor and then a judge, is that you have had some of your most unpleasant moments in a courtroom, and in front of a judge, and harbor great resentment; not at yourself for the things you did, but at others because you are too narcissistic to accept your own inadequacies.
Grow up Charm. Life is too short to be a douche your entire existence.
