God I remember they waltz into boon and kicked our but some years back. That scar back guy had like 350 yards it was awful .

I also remember they beat MTSU when they were in the Belt. And that was a MTSU team that proceeded to demolish Georgia Tech and finish 8-4. Do NOT sleep on McNeese. Of course the FBS team should win.

Agree. No SBC-FCS game should ever be viewed as intriguing under any circumstance. Well, maybe playing one of the Dakota teams during blizzard would b the exception.

Friggin NDSU against Iowa is the other ESPN or ESPN 2 match up for Week 3 at noon. If ESPN goes with showing an NDSU vs FBS game over Miami at App on ESPN it's an obvious slight at not only App or the Sun Belt but G5 as a whole.

Armanti was in his first game back after "cutting his foot mowing" and App still almost had that game won. Should've started the season 2-0.

1. Southern v. USA
2. Troy @ Clemson
3. ODU @ App

Nah, I'm good. I think ESPN does the App-Da U game so long as Da U beats FAU and App soundly beats ODU.

Quite frankly, I don't care who televises it so long as App wins the game.

II am not knocking App....I love App, but I would have went with the NDSU/Iowa game. After seeing the success that school has had the last 6 years up against an Iowa that is showing life again, it would have been my go to game also.

Even I'm not intrigued by the Idaho game this week. UW looks like monsters.

RE: What are 3 most intriguing Belt games of Week 2?
We're going to play nearly everyone on the roster vs Clemson. Neal Brown said the first two games are about figuring out who we are. We're going in aggressive, with a lot of energy, but we're not game planning around our 22 best players, and we're not throwing the whole playbook at them. We'll know a lot more after the Southern Miss game.

NDSU is certainly the FCS exception. Jacksonville State is probably one too. They would wipe the floor with our league with maybe the exception of APP or GS.

Typical FCS Playoff team. If you screw around, they might shock you, but an average FBS team should beat them by 30.

This game is very similar to AState's game against Central Arkansas in 2 weeks. Both fan bases expect to win those games by large margins because they are instate games. The consequences of not waltzing in and winning could be quite harsh.

Not even close, chief. There's no telling whether ULL is an average FBS team after last season. Troy was supposed to bounce back after they dropped to 3-9 in 2011 and never did. Huge drops like that are hard to recover from, especially this early.

As far an average FBS team beating them by 30, that's just not accurate. Of the Top 17 FCS teams that played an FBS team, all of them won. McNeese is #18 and ULL could easily lose this game.

I will not let a close Cajun game with McNeese define or indict their season. McNeese is historically a tough team and they will be more motivated for an in-state team. They will probably bring a large contingent of fans to Lafayette. I would be worried though if the Cajuns slip up and lose the game.

1) Georgia Southern vs USA - 1st SB conference game of year. Southern doesn't appear to have dropped off any (but how can you really tell vs Savannah St?) and USA looks much improved, should be an exciting game.

2) App St vs ODU - peer inter-conference game vs a team we handled last year. They appear to have improved, however, so do we.

3) Georgia State vs Air Force - poor showing by GA State vs Ball St, for the conference's sake I hope it was an aberration. Air Force had a mediocre showing vs Abilene Christian in their win. Let's see how much improvement is made from week 1 to week 2.

I'm just going by what I know of FCS playoff teams. We haven't struggled with one since the dark days. I would expect similar out of the Cajuns.

Ull and App have to win for the Belt. It would be nice if GSU and NMSU could give us unexpected bonus wins. It is usually only few game difference in being the lowest rated G5 and the second best behind the AAC. Dont see to many upsets and a rough weekend ahead OOC.

Iowa has been "showing life" for the past 5 years and for the most part NDSU has only beaten downtrodden P5 programs. I believe there is intrigue for the game however I do believe it belongs on ESPNU unless there are no other noon match-up's at noon during week 3 that people will watch.
